Bader Reraises On The River

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Brett Bader opened to 700 from under the gun and was raised to 2,200 by Manuel Pochat on the button.

Bader called to see 1062 on the flop. Both players checked, and the dealer revealed the 4 on the table. Bader bet 2,000, and Pochat called.

Things got interesting on the river 8, where Brett added 1,200 chips in the pot. Then, he was raised to 8,500 by Pochat. Bader responded with a reraise to 23,200. Pochat struggled to make a decision for almost a minute, and in the end, he folded, not very happy.

Yankov Makes Running Quads, Back in the Game

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

It was a rough start for Krasimir Yankov who took his seat just before the first break of the day. He was down to just 21,000 chips off a starting stack of 60,000. However, he just recently received a full double up, putting himself right back in the thick of things.

Yankov raised it up from middle position and was called by both of the blinds. The flop came J73 and Yankov continued with a bet of 1,100. Both of the blinds just called and the 8 peeled off on the turn.

The blinds checked again and Yankov flicked in a bet of 3,000. The small blind called and Stuart Wilkinson in the big blind raised to 8,300. Yankov jammed all in for 17,800 which got the small blind to fold and Wilkinson called.

Yankov turned over 88 for a set of eights which had Wilkinson drawing slim with J3 for two pair. The river was the 8 and Yankov improved to quads for a double up.

Zoughari Loses a Three-Bet Pot

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Moundir Zoughari, a well-known TV personality in his home country of France, raised to 800 from early position before the cutoff reraised to 2,400.

Zoughari was the only one to make the call and the two went off to a flop of 5K6, which got checked through. The 4 turn then fell and saw Zoughari check again, after which the cutoff bet 2,600. Zoughari made the call and the river 5 brought the board to completion.

The action now went check-check again and Zoughari could show up with nothing higher than ace-high with his A10. The cutoff had turned a pair with A4 and raked in the pot.

Full House for Van Driessche

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Clément Van Driessche raised 700 in the cutoff and David Bach came along in the small blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of J83 and Bach check-called a bet of 700.

When the J hit the turn, Bach check-called again, this time Van Driessche's bet was for 2,700.

The 3 double-paired the board and Bach checked it for the last time. Van Driessche fired a bet of 6,600. Bach leaned back and sighed as he pondered his decision.

After about a minute, he tossed two red chips across the line to make the call and he saw the bad news as Van Driessche whipped over A3 for a full house and Bach mucked his hand.

Quick Hands and Updated Counts

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Hand #1

There was a button open to 700. The small blind folded and Max Steinberg put in a three-bet to 3,200. The button called and they saw a flop of KQ8. Steinberg led for 3,200 and the button folded. Steinberg chipped back up after a slow start.

Hand #2

The next hand there was an under the gun limp by Bruce Little and action folded all the way around to high stakes pro Brian Kim in the big blind. He checked and they saw a flop of A34. Kim check-folded to a bet of 1,000 from Little. He dragged the pot but Kim still holds the chip lead.

One Table Over

Martin Kabrhel was still talking about the pot he was dragging into his crippled stack. He is still short after some unorthodox play early in the day.

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Jeff Lisandro was heads-up from early position against another player in late position on a 7Q8 flop. Lisandro check-called a 2,000 bet from his opponent.

The J fell on the turn and Lisandro checked again. His opponent fired 6,300 into the middle and Lisandro tanked for a while before sliding 50,000 into the middle, which was enough to put his opponent all in.

After a bit of agonizing, he let his hand go and Lisandro collected the pot.

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Michael Coombs opened from the hijack to 700,000 and was called twice: by Serge Chechin on the button and by Jason Darland in the big blind.

On the flop 7QK, Darland checked and let Coombs bet 1,200. It didn't scare Chechin or Darland, who called once again.

The 2 came on the turn. After Darland checked, Coombs didn't continue his aggression and checked too. Chechin took this opportunity to bet 3,500. Enough to make his opponents fold and to be back at the starting stack.
