Three players headed to a flop of AQ9 and the action checked to Joe Hachem who bet 2,000 from the hijack. Derek Davis called on the button and Charles Leonard check-raised to 7,000. Both Hachem and Davis called to see the 7 on the turn.

Leonard fired out a bet of 7,500 on the turn and Hachem raised to 20,000 which got Davis to fold but Leonard snap-called. The river was the J and Leonard checked to Hachem who bet 25,000. Leonard thought for a moment but decided to dump his QQ into the muck and Hachem collected the pot.

Meanwhile, just across the aisle in the Horseshoe ballroom, Daniel Hachem has already doubled his starting stack. Joe is famously known for winning the 2005 WSOP Main Event for $7.5 million but Daniel also made a deep run in 2019, finishing in 79th place for just shy of $100,000.

Grise Values with a Set

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

A player opened and the cutoff three-bet to 2,500, called by Ben Grise in the small blind and the initial raiser.

The flop revealed 648 and it checked to the cutoff who bet 3,200. Only Grise stayed interested and called. The duo checked on the 5 turn.

A 9 appeared on the river and after some thinking, Grise fired 15,000 in the middle. His opponent took a minute and called, but only to muck when Grise tabled 99 for a set of nines.

Oganyan Takes it on the River

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Four players created a pot of 3,300 and the flop read 1087. The action checked to Paul Brar who put out a bet of 1,500. Only Aram Oganyan check-called.

The 9 turn was checked through to the 5 river. Oganyan fired a bet of 4,200 and Brar tossed his cards into the muck.

Ufano Pardo Chips Up

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

A late position player raised to 2,200 and Jorge Ufano Pardo made it 7,500 from the small blind.

Ufano Pardo continued for 5,200 on a JJ9 flop, and the late position player put in the call, leaving 19,000 behind.

When the 7 hit the turn, Ufano Pardo put that 19,000 to the test, betting 20,000. The late position player went deep in the tank, leaning back with his head behind his head as he looked back and forth at the flop, his chip stack, and Ufano Pardo, now burrowed deep into his hoodie.

As the break announcement came and went, and players started making their way to the exits, just those two remained. The late position player finally decided to fight another day and folded.

Tasker Stays on Task, Calls A River Raise

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

The player under the gun limped only to see the player to his direct left raise to 1,300. Sean Tasker called from the small blind as did the initial limper under the gun, leading to a Q65 flop.

Tasker and the under-the-gun player checked and the initial raiser continued with a bet of 1,000. Tasker called and the under-the-gun limper both called to bring out the 10 on the turn.

Action checked through on the turn to bring the K out on the river.

Tasker chose to lead for the first time in the hand and did so with a bet of 2,000. The under-the-gun player folded to the initial pre-flop raiser who thought for a moment before counting out chips and tossing in a raise to 8,500.

Tasker, not a buyer of what his opponent was trying to sell, tossed in the call and turned over 66 for a set of sixes which was well ahead of the JJ of his opponent.

The jacks hit the muck and the dealer pushed the pot in Tasker's direction.
