Nguyen Picks Off Hobold

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Three-handed on a board of JQ24, Dalton Hobold bet 6,500 from the big blind and Loc Nguyen called in the cutoff. Another opponent in the small blind folded as Hobold and Nguyen went heads-up to the river.

The dealer turned over the 3 and Hobold now fired out 18,500. Nguyen took his time before calling as Hobold showed A9 for a bluff. Nguyen had KJ for a pair of jacks to win the big pot.

Juan Endara, who doubled up in a massive pot against Hobold in the last level, has steadily increased his stack since, while Jon Cohen, sitting with his dog, is also at this table.

Bin Khalek Chips Up Thru Reategui

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Three ways to the 1073 flop, Anthony Reategui faced a bet of 3,500 by Abu Hamza Bin Khalek and made it 10,000 to go in the hijack. Bin Khalek then inquired about the stack size of his opponent, who had built a tower of mostly small chips, and reraised to 32,500.

That was enough to win the pot right there without any further resistance.

Jorstad Holds With Ducks

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

A player in early position opened for 2,200 and only Espen Jorstad made the call in the cutoff.

The flop fanned out 763 and the initial raiser checked to Jorstad who tossed out a bet of 2,200, which his opponent called.

On the J turn and again on the J river the action checked through. The early position player tabled A10 for ace-high, but was no good against the 22 for Jorstad to take the pot.
