One Bet Good for Sammartino

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Dario Sammartino opened to 7,000 from the cutoff and was called by the big blind.

Both players checked through the 9J4 flop to the 7 turn at which point the big blind checked for a second time.

Sammartino fired a delayed continuation of 12,000 which was met by a swift fold from his opponent to keep Italy's all time money leader chipping up as he seeks to improve upon his runner-up finish in the 2019 Main Event.

Boyko Doubles Through Antonius

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

A player in early position opened to 6,000 and Patrik Antonius three-bet to 17,000. Yuriy Boyko then moved all in from the small blind for 64,500, forcing a fold from the original raiser.

"I don't know how I can lay this down," Antonius quietly said as he contemplated his decision. He did not think for long before making the call to put Boyko at risk.

Yuriy Boyko: AK
Patrik Antonius: AJ

Boyko was in good shape to double with a bigger ace and remained in the lead on the K66 flop and 6 turn.

"Six!" one of Boyko's tablemates called for just before the river, which got a few laughs from around the table.

The river was the 7 and Boyko secured a full double up while making a small dent in Antonius' stack.

Meanwhile at another table, Michael Gathy has been eliminated from the tournament.

On a completed board of 247J8, Brandon Lee had bet 58,000 into a pot of 125,000 from the big blind. His opponent was in the cutoff and thought for several minutes.

Eventually, he made the call. Lee showed 33 for a failed bluff, while his opponent made a hero call with 1010 for a pair of tens. Lee forfeited a bunch of his stack, but is still left with more than 50 big blinds.
