Alexander Villa opened to 85,000 from early position and Nick Marchington three-bet to 240,000 from the button. Villa made the call.
The flop came 3♥J♣5♥ and Villa check-called a 145,000 continuation bet from Marchington.
Both players checked through the 6♣ turn and 4♠ river.
Villa tabled 9♠9♣ for a pair of nines and Marchington quickly mucked his hand.
Anil Adiani was down to just 190,000 and got his last chips in from middle position against Diego Daquilio in early position.

Daquilio took the lead on the K♣6♦3♠ flop with a pair of kings, and Adiani got no help on the 7♥ turn and 8♦ river as he was left waiting for a payout slip.
David Mzareulov opened to 90,000 from the hijack and called when Charlie Chiu made it 280,000 from the cutoff.
Mzareulov led out for 175,000 on the 8♥5♣2♣ flop before Chiu clicked it to 650,000. Mzareulov responded with a reraise, and made it 2,365,000, which left him with 300,000 behind.
Chiu asked for a count and once the figure was confirmed, he conceded the pot.
Wayne Nicholsen was all in for 900,000 from the cutoff and up against big blind Daniel Holzner.

Nicholsen had picked up a good hand to get his last chips in the middle, but Holzner showed him the bad news as he woke up with aces. "Put a king out there," Nicholsen pleaded as he stood up from his seat.
The board ran out J♥6♠5♠2♦9♥ and Nicholsen couldn't overcome the massive cooler and was sent to the rail.
Picking up the action partway through the hand, John Racener in the cutoff had Daniel Wolf in the small blind all in at risk.

Wolf was dominated and would need significant help to survive. None came, however, on the 5♠J♥3♦6♠8♣ runout to bring Wolf's tournament to an end while sending some much needed chips over to Racener.
Henri Li raised to 80,000 from under the gun and received no less than three callers. Oghenovo Constare, Aditya Systla and Charles Melton all came along and saw a flop of 2♥5♥6♠.
Melton then checked from the big blind before Li put in a bet of 90,000. Constare called before Systla got out of the way. Melton still wanted to be in the pot as well and put in the chips.
The 5♠ turn saw Melton promptly lead for a huge bet of 350,000. Li quickly folded but Constare still stuck around. The two remaining players then checked through the K♠ river before they showed down.
Melton showed J♠7♠ for the rivered flush and Constare let out a big sigh before mucking his cards. The four-way action increased Melton's stack nicely, and he is now playing almost 100 big blinds.
Li would bust not much later in an unseen hand.
Cards were on their backs, with Matthew Stein all in for his last 550,000 from the big blind. He was at risk to Andrei Boghean.

Boghean paired his ace for the lead on the A♣10♥9♥ flop. The 8♥ turn and 7♠ river improved Boghean to a straight and Stein was eliminated.
Jordan Schneider moved all in for 545,000 from under the gun and Andrew Dea called on the button.

Dea took out his phone and began filming the action as the board came 2♠10♦10♠3♥, keeping him in the lead. The river, though, was the K♠ and Dea dropped his phone on the table after Schneider spiked the river to stay alive.
"I felt it," Dea said.
"That's going to make a good video," a tablemate joked with Dea, who remained in good spirits despite the bad beat.
Picking up the action live on the flop on the side feature table, Hilton Laborda on the button was involved in a hand with James Jeffrey in late position as well as Gar Cheung in the big blind. With the board reading 2♠3♥2♥ Jeffrey had both of his opponents all in and at risk.

Laborda had flopped trips to put himself in good position to get a triple up. The 3♠ turn immediately ended Cheung's hopes of outright victory by removing his flush outs while Jeffrey was left needing to hit the case king to scoop the pot. The A♥ river kept Laborda best to send Cheung out of the tournament while putting a significant dent in Jeffrey's stack.
Steven Spunt opened to 85,000 from early position and was called by John Racener in the cutoff. Jules Dickerson then moved all in for 885,000 on the button. Spunt thought for quite some time before folding while Racener quickly called with the covering stack.

Racener held the lead but Dickerson did have two live cards as well as potential straight and flush draws. The J♠Q♦2♥ flop immediately launched Dickerson into the lead but it was short lived as the 10♠ hit the turn to improve Racener to broadway. Dickerson would need to fill up on the river to survive but could not do so as the 7♥ rolled off the deck instead to hand Racener a second knockout in the span of just a few minutes.
