Westmorland Snaps Off Duek

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Jordan Westmorland
Jordan Westmorland

Heads-up on a flop of 4210, Michael Duek bet 75,000 from the cutoff and Jordan Westmorland called in the big blind.

The turn came the J and Westmorland checked over to Duek again, who then bet 300,000. Westmorland called to the A river and checked for a third time.

Duek then slid forward a tower of green 25,000 chips for a bet of 600,000 and Westmorland nearly beat him into the pot with a call. Duek had KJ for a pair of jacks, but Westmorland turned over A2 for two pair on the river. Westmorland, who survived an all in on the bubble yesterday, took the pot to climb over 6,000,000.

Sachs Doubles Through Rigby

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Jacob Sachs moved all in for his last 675,000 from the cutoff and was looked up by Nicholas Rigby in the big blind.

Jacob Sachs: 1010
Nicholas Rigby: AQ

Sachs was locked in a flip for his tournament life against a player who, over the past few days, has seldom lost a pot. The A710 flop improved Rigby to top pair but Sachs hit a set to take an almost unassailable lead. There would be no sweat as the 4 turn left Rigby drawing dead prior to the 5 river.
