Andrew Hulme

The flop read J75, and there was about 170,000 in the middle. Andrew Hulme fired a bet of 55,000, and Benjamin Grise thought about it for 20 seconds before making the call in position.

The 2 fell on the turn and Hulme continued for 115,000. Grise mucked his hand and the dealer pushed the pot to Hulme.

The turn came the 7 and Kennedy moved all in, covering Sammartino's remaining stack of just under 1,100,000. Sammartino quickly made the fold and Kennedy received a decent pot.

Jason Koon
Jason Koon

Carlos Leiva opened to 55,000 from middle position before Jason Koon made it 120,000 from the button. Tim van Loo went into the tank from the big blind before folding. Leiva put Koon all in and the latter called off his stack of 530,000.

Jason Koon: KK
Carlos Leiva: 1010

Koon was way ahead and improved to a set on the AKQ flop, leaving his opponent drawing to Broadway or runner-runner quads.

The 8 turn was a brick, but the J river completed Leiva's straight and Koon's Main Event journey came to an end.

Bohmerwald Departs Early On; Stafman Chips Up

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Michael Bohmerwald was spotted on his way out and another player remarked "unlucky" while the pot was pushed to Ryan Casaly. On a board of QJ5JA, Casaly had hit what appeared to be a full house with the QxJx.

Johan Espholm lost a seven-figure pot to Tyler Stafman when he checked behind the K72A turn and K river, as Stafman tabled the AK.

"Would you have called a bet?" Stafman inquired and Espholm replied "depends how much you bet".

One table over, Larry Ross doubled with A6 against the A5 of Tam Ho as his kicker advantage played on the K9273 runout.
