Kimmel Bets Big Into Break

Sachin Joshi raised to 525,000 from under the gun and Christopher Kimmel called in the small blind.

The flop came 493 and Kimmel checked over to Joshi, who continued for 900,000. Kimmel then put in a raise to 2,300,000 and Joshi called.

The rest of the table had already left for the break by the time the 7 fell on the turn. Kimmel paused for a minute before betting 3,600,000. Joshi quickly folded and Kimmel took the pot.

Alexander Villa raised to 525,000 in the cutoff and Jose Aguilera defended from the big blind. The flop came 865 and Villa continued with a bet of 850,000. Aguilera check-raised to 2,500,000 and Villa called.

The turn brought the A and Aguilera slid out a bet of 2,000,000. Villa again called and the 7 completed the board. Aguilera announced all in, putting Villa to the test for his remaining stack of roughly 7,400,000. Villa thought for nearly half of the break and then called it off. Aguilera showed 88 for a set of eights while Villa was left with A8.

Limped Pot Leads to Chips for Leader Maceiras Lapido

The action folded to Juan Maceiras Lapido in the small blind and he limped in. Andrey Pateychuk checked his big blind and a flop of 6Q9 was dealt.

Maceiras Lapido bet out 300,000 before Pateychuck raised to 900,000. Maceiras Lapido made the call before both players checked the A turn. On the 8 river, Maceiras Lapido checked once more and Pateychuk bet 1,800,000 this time.

After some speech play, Maceiras Lapido made the call and got shown J7 fora bluffed jack-high. Macerias Lapido played two pair with 86 and extended his chip lead.

Ghio Puts Hawkins to the Test

Joe Ghio raised to 600,000 from under the gun and Maurice Hawkins called in the big blind.

Both players checked the KQ4 flop before Hawkins led out for 400,000 on the 8 turn.

Ghio called and Hawkins made another small bet on the 6 river, this time for 300,000. Ghio then moved all in and Hawkins, with 1,800,000 remaining, tanked for nearly a minute before he folded.

Walton Leads on a Scary River

Nicholas Gerrity, with AQ, opened to 600,000 under the gun and Adam Walton called from the small blind with A10. The flop came A74 and Walton check-called a bet of 500,000 from Gerrity.

The turn was the 5 and Walton checked again. Gerrity tossed in a bet of 1,100,000 and Walton quickly called. The river brought the 6 and Walton led out with a bet of 5,050,000. Gerrity gave it some thought but decided to send his cards to the muck.

Ryan Tamanini raised to 600,000 and Daniel Scroggins then three-bet to 1,700,000 on the button. The four-bet shove of the initial raiser followed and Scroggins folded.

One hand later, Yaroslav Ohulchanskyi raised to 1,475,000 on the button and left himself exactly 300,000 — one big blind — behind. Eric Schneider checked his cards, nodded and tossed in chips before confirming he just called.

The flop came 1084 and Schneider moved all-in. Ohulchanskyi called.

Lapido Gets River Value

Juan Maceiras Lapido opened to 600,000 in the middle position and Richard Ryder defended out of the big blind.

Ryder checked on the flop of 4J7 and Lapido continued for the same 600,000. Ryder called. Ryder checked again on the 8 turn and Lapido checked back.

Ryder opted to lead for 700,000 on the 5 river and Lapido responded with a raise to 3,000,000. Ryder called, only to muck as Lapido showed a pair of jacks with KJ.
