Natale Gets There on the River

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

On a flop of 432 we saw Nino Natale, after a series of bets, commit his entire stack of around 32,000 chips into the pot, and the player in the cutoff made the call.

Nino Natale: 87 All in
Cutoff: AK

The J turn didn't help Natale but the 5 river completed his flush and kept him alive in the opening event of the 2024 WSOP.

Harrington Off to Hot Start

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Action started with a raise to 400 from the hijack, the button called, then Dan Harrington three-bet to 2,000 in the small blind. Both the hijack and button called, and they were off to a flop three ways.

A rainbow flop of A104 hit the felt and Harrington bet out 1,000. Both players wanted to see a turn card for that price and the 9 peeled off.

Harrington bet out again, this time for 5,000. The hijack called while the button mucked his cards. The river 3 was a perfect brick for Harrington to seek value. He wagered 15,000 and the button snap-called. Harrington tabled 1010 for a set of tens and it was good to claim the pot.

Around 20,000 was in the middle as Han Feng and Uri Reichenstein got heads-up on the turn on a board of J107Q. Reichenstein bet 10,000 from middle position and Feng called on the button.

The river was the 2 and Reichenstein bet 30,000, representing most of his remaining stack. Feng moved all in and Reichenstein called off his last chips.

Reichenstein showed K7 for a flush, but Feng showed 98 for a straight flush to send Reichenstein to the rail.

Seed Moves All In on the First Hand

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Huck Seed decided to make quite the opening statement to the 2024 WSOP. After action folded to him in middle position, the 1996 Main Event Champ open-shoved all in on the first hand of the first tournament of the series.

After four players left to act behind him all quickly folded, Seed and his tablemates jokingly commented on how scared and poorly everyone else played the hand, while Seed also got a quick congratulations from Daniel Negreanu sitting at the neighboring table for the well-played hand.

Lamb Runs into Kings

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

A player from early position min-raised to 400 and Ben Lamb defended from the big blind.

On the 99Q flop, Lamb check-called a bet of 1,200 from the early position player.

A 4 turn saw Lamb go into check-call mode again, this time with a smaller size of 1,000.

The 5 river was checked through and Lamb flipped over Q8 for top pair, but he was behind the KK of his opponent.
