Hennigan Joins and Wins

John Hennigan had just sat down at the table as a fresh entry when he raised to 3,000 in the cutoff. Clayton Mozdzen was the only other player interested in the pot and called from the small blind.

On the 5KK flop, Hennigan, who recently added a seventh bracelet to his collection, continued for 2,500 chips and got a quick fold from his opponent.

The turn was the J and Alioto moved all in. Negreanu quickly called for 18,200.

Alioto showed A9532, while Negreanu had A10932. The river was the 10 and Negreanu made aces and tens, while both players had the same low and Negreanu too three-quarters of the pot.

Shak drew two cards while Matusow decided to keep the five he was dealt. Matusow then bet before the second and final draw, staying pat the whole way.

Shak check-called and drew one card both times. After the final draw, Shak checked once more and Matusow fired in another bet. Shak quickly let his hand go, whereafter Matusow showed 7532A for a seven-low and the second-best badugi.

Akhavi drew two and both Mascio and Pupillo took one. Pupillo bet again and Akhavi called.

Mascio drew one while Akhavi and Pupillo both stood pat, and Akhavi called another bet. Pupillo showed 76532, while Akhavi had 97532 for a Badugi to chop the pot. Mascio couldn't claim any part of the pot and was sent to the rail.

On the final draw, Lally and Claassen still took one card each while Fuhs decided to stay pay. The action then checked around and Fuhs tabled 7x5x4x3x2x for the winning hand.
