Ben Yu raised his button to 5,000, after which Yueqi Zhu three-bet to 16,000 from the big blind. Yu put in the call and a flop of 9♣2♥10♥ was dealt.
Zhu put Yu all in for his final 27,200 chips and a snap call followed from Yu.

The Q♥ turn gave Zhu some extra outs, but the 3♣ river bricked out and Yu doubled up with his two pair.

Steven Loube bet on fifth and sixth streets, with Richard Bai calling both bets.
Loube then bet again on seventh and Bai called. "Full house," Loube announced. "What did you make over there?" he asked Bai.
Bai turned over 8x5x4x for 10-8-6-5-4 and Loube mucked.

Motoyoshi Okamura got his final 10,200 chips in from the small blind on a board of 5♠7♦J♠6♣ and was looked up by Jerry Wong in the big blind.

Wong's set remained best on the 10♥ river and Okamura said his goodbyes late on Day 1.

Matt Glantz drew one on the first draw, Anthony Zinno took two, while Daniel Negreanu drew three. Glantz then bet and both opponents called.
Glantz stood pat and bet, while both Zinno and Negreanu took two. Negreanu called and Zinno folded.
Glantz again patted the third draw and Negreanu took one. Glantz then bet.
"Oh my God," Negreanu said, shooting up in his seat as he looked at his last card. He eventually called and Glantz showed 10♠8♥6♦5♣4♠ for a 10-low and Badugi to scoop the pot.

John Racener bet on fifth street and was called by James Obst.
Racener checked over to Obst on sixth, and Obst put out a bet. Racener called.
Both players checked on seventh and Racener showed J♣J♠8♥, his pair of jacks good enough to take down the pot.
At the same table, Erick Lindgren has built up a stack close to 200,000 and is contending for the chip lead on the final hour of the day.

"Aces up," Kassela said, showing A♠8♥7♠ for aces and sevens. Coleman showed 8♠5♦2♦ for a low and chopped the pot.
"I knew my low was no good. I wasn't worried about my low," Kassela added.
"I was," Coleman replied.

Doug Lorgeree raised on the button before Phil Ivey three-bet in the big blind. Ivey then drew one card while Lorgeree drew three. Ivey made a bet and was called, after which he drew one card again.
Lorgeree drew two cards this time, and another bet and call followed. Ivey stood pat at the final draw while his opponent still opted for one fresh card.
Ivey slowed down and checked, after which Lorgeree bet out. Ivey quickly called, but got no part of the pot when Lorgeree tabled 8♥7♠6♥5♣3♦ for an eight-low and three-badugi.
Badugi
Daniel Negreanu raised in the hijack, Anthony Zinno reraised on the button, and Negreanu called.
Both players took one and Zinno bet. Negreanu then raised and Zinno called.
Zinno took one more on the second draw, while Negreanu stood pat and bet. Zinno gave it some thought but ultimately decided to fold.
