Paul Gibbons recalled an interesting "old school vs new school" hand for Pokernews
Men Nguyen raised from under the gun to 500,000, Paul Gibbons re-raised to 1,400,000 from middle position and the big blind went all in for 300,000.
With Nguyen calling, the 10x7x4x flop was dealt and Nguyen bet 600,000. Gibbons jammed for 4,000,000 and Nguyen found a "very upset" fold.
Gibbons took the down the pot with AxJx, as the big blind had 6x3x and lost the runout.

A player from early position opened to 600,000. Brett Shaffer called from middle position and the player in the big blind called.
The three players checked the J♣9♠4♠ flop to see the K♥ come on the turn. After the big blind checked, the early position player put out a bet of 1,250,000. This was met by an all-in shove by Shaffer. The big blind folded quickly and the action was back on the early position player. Shaffer had the covering stack so the raise was for the early position player's remaining 2,300,000. After some thought, the player in early position folded.
