Negreanu Gets Frisky in the Small Blind & Runs Into Aces

Daniel Negreanu open-jammed in the small blind for 86,000 and Stoyan Madanzhiev in the big blind didn't have much of a decision when he looked down at his cards.

Negreanu had picked the wrong time to jam and couldn't pull ahead of aces as the board ran out 4Q10A3 to mark the Poker Hall of Famer's elimination.

Beall Out-Kicks Laskowitz

Level 9 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Samuel Laskowitz opened to 17,000 from under the gun. Robert Beall and Eli Berg called from the button and big blind.

Action checked to Beall on the K86 flop, and he bet 35,000. Laskowitz was the only caller.

The A turn checked through to the 3 river. Laskowitz led out for 37,000 and was called.

"King," said Laskowitz as he tabled K10. Beall had that beat with his KQ, which had a better kicker.

Jaka Loses Some to Foxen

Level 9 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Faraz Jaka raised from the button to 20,000 and Alex Foxen defended from the big blind.

Foxen check-called a bet of 20,000 on the QJ3 flop.

The turn came the 8. Foxen check-called a bet of 65,000 to see the K come on the river. After Foxen checked, Jaka opted to check back. Foxen turned over Q10 to take down the pot

Lin Holds to Double

Level 9 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Ren Lin moved all in for 126,000 from the button and Euan McNicholas quickly called from the big blind.

Lin had A7 and was ahead of his opponent's KQ.

McNicholas failed to connect on the 457106 runout and doubled Lin up.

Petrangelo Good at Showdown

After several raise and takes at one of the more stacked tables in the tournaments, Stoyan Madanzhiev opened to 16,000 in the cutoff and Phil Ivey called on the button as Nick Petrangelo defended his big blind.

The flop of 3610 checked through and Madanzhiev stabbed with a bet of 30,000 on the 10 turn. Only Petrangelo called.

Both players then checked on the 8 turn and Petrangelo showed J6 to win the pot with a pair of sixes.

Kempe and Daniels Chop Up Kisacikoglu

Orpen Kisacikoglu put in his last 25,000 from. under the gun. Rainer Kempe made it 40,000 from the button and Shawn Daniels stuck around in the small blind.

Action checked through to the river for the board to read 1096QJ.

Daniels bet 20,000 and snap-called when Kempe made it 225,000.

Kempe and Daniels tabled K9 and KJ respectively for a king-high straight. Kisacikoglu had 55 and was eliminated. However, he hopped straight back in and has a fresh starting stack.

Rabichow Doubles Through Schwecht

Level 9 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Tobias Schwecht opened to 16,000 and Kevin Rabichow three-bet to 68,000 from the small blind. Schwecht called.

The flop was J95 and Rabichow continued for 41,000. Schwecht called.

The turn was the A and Rabichow bet 65,000. Schwecht again called.

The river was the 6. This time Rabichow checked and Schwecht used a time bank before moving all in. Rabichow checked his cards before calling for his last 136,000.

Schwecht tabled 108 for a missed straight draw, with Rabichow doubling up holding A9 for two pair.

Jager Takes it Down on the River

Level 9 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Paul Jager opened from the cutoff and got called by Sergio Aido from the small blind and Michael Jozoff out of the big blind.

Aido and Jozoff checked the A109 flop to which Jager put out a continuation-bet of 16,000. Only Jozoff made the call.

The 4 turn got checked through for the 8 to appear on the river. Jozoff checked again and Jager quickly fired 45,000 into the middle. Jozoff didn't think for too long before releasing his holding.

Berg Flops the Nuts to Eliminate Suvarna

Santhosh Suvarna three-bet all in for 114,000 and was called by Eli Berg.

The flop KQ10 helped Suvarna, as he flopped two pair, but it helped Berg even more as he flopped the nut straight. Suvarna needed to improve to a full house but the 94 runout sent him to the rail.
