Changfeng Fan has a commanding lead in Event #38: $1,500 Monster Stack No-Limit Hold'em after Day 1b saw them bag a chip stack of 1,403,500. Fan replaces Ryan Sullivan, the Day 1a chip leader at the top of the standings.

Day 1b of the $1,500 Monster Stack added another 2,876 players to the field, growing the total to 5,235 entries. The 947 Day 1b survivors will join the 737 from Day 1a for a Day 2 total of 1,684 players.

However, with Day 1c still to go, these numbers all have plenty of time to swell even further.

The field will then combine for Day 2 on June 17 at 11 a.m. when PokerNews' traditional coverage of this event will begin.
