The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is making a move that will change the online poker game in the US with the launch of WSOP Online, a new platform that will bring players from three states together.
Poker players in Nevada and New Jersey are already competing against each other on WSOP.com, while those in Michigan have a separate single-state site. But that is changing with the trio of states being merged together on one online poker site ahead of the 2024 WSOP. Pennsylvania's WSOP site will not be part of the shared liquidity deal.
On top of the merger news, the WSOP has announced 30 online bracelet events this summer on the new WSOP Online.
The final 28 players have returned to their seats and play on the money bubble has resumed.

Jesse Lonis raised to 120,000 from early position and Mikita Badziakouski called in the big blind.
Badziakouski announced a dark check and the dealer fanned out the 2♥7♥Q♥ flop. Lonis bet to put Badziakouski all in for his last 10,000 behind and Badziakouski called to put himself at risk of bubbling.
Mikita Badziakouski: 3♠3♦
Jesse Lonis: K♠9♠
Badziakouski held the lead with his baby pair and the 10♦5♦ runout kept Badziakouski best for the crucial double up.

Martin Kabrhel just got the better of Seth Davies in back-to-back pots.
First, Kabrhel raised the cutoff to 100,000 and Davies called from the button. They both saw a flop of 7♣6♠5♣ which saw Kabrhel bet 190,000, and Davies called. Both checked the 5♦ turn to the 3♥ river where Kabrhel announced a bet of 505,000, and Davies folded.
The very next hand, Kabrhel raised from the hijack to 100,000, and Davies called form the cutoff. They saw a flop of K♠8♦9♣ which was checked to the 4♣ turn. Kabrhel bet 145,000, and Davies called. Both checked the 7♥ river and Kabrhel took it down with K♦10♥ for a pair of kings.

Life Outside Poker is a new podcast for PokerNews hosted by Connor Richards that seeks to pull back the curtain on poker players and allow viewers and listeners to get to know them on a personal level.
In the seventh episode, Connor speaks with World Series of Poker (WSOP) commentator Norman Chad, one of the most recognizable voices in poker who has provided color commentary on poker's biggest stage for over 20 years.
Chad talks about getting his start as a sports writer in college, his decades-long syndicated sports humor column for the Washington Post and being asked to commentate on the 2003 WSOP Main Event that sparked the Poker Boom.
Chad also discusses the state of poker broadcasting today, the need for more color commentary in the booth, and the need for more interesting characters on the felt.
The Life Outside Poker podcast is available on major streaming platforms including Apple Podcasts, Spotify and iHeartRadio. You can also watch the interview with Norman Chad by heading to the PokerNews YouTube channel.
