Hunt Able to Get Some Value

Frederick Hunt limped from under the gun. A player in the early position made it 6,000, which was called by Cathie Flowers, who goes by Kim, on the button, and by Hunt.

The flop came Q58 and got checked around, the same happened on the 4 turn.

The river was the 3 and Hunt decided to make it 12,000. Early position folded, but Flowers thought about it and then called.

Hunt turned over 55 for the flopped set of fives, Flowers mucked, and Hunt took down a nice pot.

Walter Guynes limped in early position and Abbey Daniels called from the small blind and Pradeep Dewan checked his big blind option.

The flop came out 7K8 and Dewan bet out 2,000, while Daniels check-folded and Guynes called.

On the turn 3, Dewan bet again for 5,000 and Guynes called.

On the river 9x, Dewan put the pressure on and bet 30,000 and Guynes thought for a bit and called. Guynes tabled 98 for two pair and Dewan showed K7 for the better two pair.

Richard Kerbis had a short stack of around 24,000 to start the hand and went all in from the button. He got a call from Stewart Meredith in the big blind.

When dealing out the flop, the dealer showed a jack in the window, prompting a sigh from Kerbis, but then the entire QAJ flop was revealed. Kerbis was at risk, but still well ahead.

The turn was the 6 and Kerbis could only lose to two remaining jacks on the river. To Kerbis’ disappointment and disbelief of the table, the dealer turned over the unlikely J and that was it for his tournament.

Petrone Holds Better Two Pair

The river 10 was checked through and McDonald announced, "Nice hand," when Petrone turned over K9 for kings-up. McDonald showed 66.
