Wantman Folds to Zeng's Pressure

Linglin Zeng opened to 5,000 on the button and was three-bet to 18,000 by Matthew Wantman. Zeng called.

Zeng called a 10,000 bet from Wantman on the K♦6♠8♠ flop and then both players checked on the 9♠ turn.

The 10♦ completed the board and Wantman checked once more — prompting a hefty 60,000 bet from Zeng.

Wantman eventually thought better of it and laid his hand down.

Vieira Advances Over Airball; Two More Make Round 2

On a board of Q♦6♠2♣8♣, Nik Airball bet 16,000 and Joao Vieira called.

The 5♠ completed the board and Airball announced he was all in for approximately 50,000 total. Vieira quickly called and turned over 8♦6♣ for two pair.

Airball held Q♠7♦ for a second-best pair of queens and Vieira collected the pot to advanced into Round 2.

On other tables, Thomas Boivin and David Farber made it through to Round 2 after defeating Bari Sklar and Euan McNicholas, respectively.

Zinno Takes out Patatanyan

Allen Patatanyan opened to 5,000 on the button and Anthony Zinno called.

Zinno checked to Patatanyan on the Q♦3♣J♥ flop and he continued for 8,000. Zinno then check-raised to 25,000 and Patatanyan called.

The 4♥ fell on the turn and Zinno checked to Patatanyan, who shoved for approximately 80,000. Zinno called to put Patatanyan at risk and hands were revealed.

Zinno held the lead with his two pair, but would need to fade Patatanyan's open-eneded straight draw to score the elimination.

The 6♥ river bricked out for Patatanyan and Zinno advanced into Round 2.
