Level 26 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Kyriakos Papadopoulos
Kyriakos Papadopoulos

Kyriakos Papadopoulos has been on a short stack for most of the day, but a timely double-up through Ivan Stankov gave the Greek pro finally something to work with. After Michael Liang had raised to 120,000, Papadopoulos shoved for 640,000.

Stankov came over the top from the big blind and Liang gave it up. Stankov showed JJ against the AK of Papadopoulos. The board was 9523A for Papadopoulos to hit the river.

Cedolia Puts a Nasty Beat on Hwang

Level 27 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Michael Newman limped in from under the gun and Gianluca Cedolia did the same on his direct left. Action folded to Yung Hwang in the cutoff, who made it 415,000. Action folded back to Newman, who folded. Cedolia moved all in as the bigger stack and Hwang put in his stack of around 2,000,000.

Yung Hwang: AxKx
Gianluca Cedolia: AK

Both players were somewhat relieved that they'd likely be chopping the pot but the K93 flop gave Cedolia the freeroll to the scoop. The 10 turn gave Cedolia the flush draw, which somehow completed on the Q river.

Hwang was sickened and Cedolia offered several apologies as he dragged in the pot.

Andre Akkari
Andre Akkari

Action was retold to PokerNews by Andre Akkari.

Akkari raised to 120,000 from the cutoff and Kyriakos Papadopoulos defended from the big blind.

The flop came Kx10x7x and Papadopoulos was quick to check. Akkari fired for 130,000 and received a call.

While the turn peeled the Jx, Papadopoulos checked to Akkari. He continued for 320,000 and his opponent made the call.

The river was the 9x and Papadopoulos once again checked. Akkari moved all in and was called by Papadopoulos. He revealed Qx2x to take the pot over Papadopoulos' 8x9x.

Level 27 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
John Reiter
John Reiter

On a 422 flop, Justin Liberto checked, John Reiter bet 100,000, Liberto check-raised to 250,000, and Reiter called. Liberto bet 385,000 on the A turn and Reiter called again.

The river was the Q and Liberto checked. Reiter shoved all in and Liberto, with 1,050,000, went deep in the tank. Reiter, meanwhile, sat slumped back in his chair, breathing heavily.

After nearly four minutes, Liberto folded and Reiter triumphantly slapped K10 onto the felt.

"We would've chopped, I had the same hand," Liberto laughed.

Park Gets the Better of Ko

Level 27 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Peter Park opened to 175,000 from the button before David Dongwoo Ko three-bet to 700,000 from the small blind. Sundiata DeVore quickly folded in the big blind to put the action back on Park.

A few moments went by and Park moved all in for 3,300,000.

Ko went deep into the tank, agonizing for several minutes.

He interchanged between speaking to Park and himself, with Park remaining stoic throughout the interrogation.

Ko had the bigger stack and in the end he announced "fold".

"Show me a good one," asked Ko and Park complied by flashing the 3 as he took in the pot.

"oooof" chimed DeVore with David Uvaydov also stunned at the move Park made.

David Uvaydov made it 495,000, leaving 5,000 behind, from under the gun. David Dongwoo Ko called from the cutoff before Colin Robinson made it 1,100,000 from the button. Uvaydov put in his last chip ahead of Ko folding.
