Platz Prevails with Trip Aces Against Shahade

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Jen Shahade kicked off the action with a raise to 1,100, which Mary Platz called from the big blind.

On the A102 flop, Platz check-called Shahade's 900 bet.

Both players checked the K turn.

After Platz checked on the A river, Shahade bet 2,800. Platz called after some consideration and revealed A7 for trip aces. Shahade's cards went into the muck.

Gambino Hits the Flop

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Action folded to the hijack, who raised to 1,300. Angela Gambino, in the big blind, was the only caller.

The flop came 33Q and Gambino checked. The hijack threw in a continuation bet of 1,000 and Gambino snap-called, taking the players to the turn.

The dealer turned the 9 and both players checked to the 6 river.

No more chips went into the pot, and Gambino was first to show Q10. The hijack saw Gambino's two pair and mucked her cards.

No Cash for AshKardash

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

With only 7,800 left, Ashley "AshKardash" Morales went all in from the cutoff and got called by Ruth Flores on the button.

Ashley Morales: KQAll in
Ruth Flores: K10

The flop looked promising for Morales as it showed A8J, but poker always has its twists. The 9 on the turn brought both a flush draw and a straight draw for Flores. As fate would have it, the Q on the river sent Morales to the rail and boosted Flores's stack to over 90,000.

The Rivered Flush Beats Two Pair

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

On the flop of K510, the player in early position bet out for 2,000 and Angela Singer in the small blind raised to 7,000. Molly Hsiao in the big blind called, as did the early position player.

The turn was the J and Singer went all in for 20,900. Hsiao thought for a long time and then put in the call. The early position player also took some time to think and then open-folded KQ.

Angela Singer: K10All in
Molly Hsiao: A9

Singer was ahead with two pair, but Hsiao had outs with a flush draw and a gutshot straight draw. The river was the Q, hiving Hsiao the flush and eliminating Singer.
