Dwan Up Early

Tom Dwan decided to make a rare appearance at the WSOP after max late-regging and has already put his chips to work.

In a recent hand, Arthur Morris raised to 31,000 from the cutoff and was called by Tom Dwan in the big blind.

Dwan led out for 83,000 on the 1067 flop and Morris folded.

Dwan has already more than doubled his stack since sitting down and currently sits with about 395,000.

Helppi Among the Biggest Stacks Right Now

Level 13 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

On a completed board of AK4109, Juha Helppi in the big blind bet 135,000. Dan Cates from under the gun went into the tank and eventually called to get shown the QJJ6 for broadway by Helppi, which won the pot.

Helppi had started the day in the middle of the pack but has since jumped to a massive stack.

Hannawa Doubles Through Negreanu

Level 13 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu and Danny Hannawa were heads-up on a flop of 5KQ with a sizable pot already brewing.

Negreanu had enough chips in front of him to put Hannawa all in for his remaining 199,000 and Hannawa called all in to put himself at risk.

Hannawa was ahead with his pair of kings and the 510 runout bricked out for Negreanu to score Hannawa the double up.

Nakache Chips Up Further With Three-Bet Pot

Level 13 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Elie Nakache, the winner of the $10,000 PLO Championship yesterday, had already increased his stack to nearly seven figures and then raised it up to 25,000. Nikolaos Lampropoulos raised the pot to 87,000 and Nakache called.

On a flop of 977, Nakache led for 60,000 and that won the pot uncontested.

Brown Takes From Garza

Brown bet another 22,000 on the J turn and Garza folded.

On a flop of J109, Marcello Del Grosso bet 20,000 and Filip Lovric then pushed all-in for 114,000. Del Grosso asked for the size of the pot to see if the shove was already possible and then called a few seconds later.

Del Grosso was ahead with two pair and that remained the case with the 7 turn and 2 river, as Lovric missed the straight and flush draw.

Winter Sends Scott Out with Quads

Jordan Scott raised to 25,000 from middle position and Sean Winter defended his big blind.

Winter checked to Scott, who bet 27,000 on the 829 flop. Winter then check-raised to 125,000 and Scott moved all in for his remaining stack. Winter called to put Scott at risk and hands were revealed.

The 39 runout needlessly improved Winter to quads and Scott was eliminated.
