Carey Stays Aggressive

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Irene Carey
Irene Carey

The under-the-gun player opened 600 and Irene Carey three-bet 1,500 next to act. The big blind cold called and the original raiser got out of the way.

When the K106 flop hit the felt, the big blind checked to Carey who continued for 1,300. After a short pause, the big blind made the call.

The dealer dropped the 4 on the turn and the big blind continued to check before Carey fired 2,700 across the line. That was enough to earn the pot as the big blind's cards hit the muck.

Foxen Wins a Small Battle of the Blinds

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Alex Foxen raised to 1,200 from the small with just the big blind to get through. His opponent in the big blind called and they headed to the flop.

The flop of 7K3 saw Foxen put out a continuation-bet of 600 and his opponent called.

Both players checked the 9 on the turn for the Q to fall on the river. Foxen bet 1,400 and got a fold from the big blind.

Ngo Takes from Yeh

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Andrew Yeh opened to 800 from early position, Phung Ngo three-bet to 2,400 from middle position, the cutoff cold-called, and Yeh came along.

On the J72 flop, Ngo continued for 3,000 and both opponents called.

The 3 turn checked through.

The river brought the 10. Yeh checked, Ngo bet 6,000, the cutoff quickly folded, and Yeh took some time before he reluctantly tossed in calling chips. He got the bad news as Ngo turned over KK and his overpair was good to drag a big pot.
