Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Maurice Hawkins
Maurice Hawkins

Three players saw the 8523 turn. Igor Yaroshevskyy was in the small blind and checked to the big blind, who fired 2,200 into the pot of about 8,500. Maurice Hawkins was on the button and raised to 6,500 before Yaroshevskyy checked-raised to 15,000. The big blind quickly folded, but Hawkins stuck around with a call.

The 5 landed on the river, and Yaroshevskyy continued for 25,500, putting Hawkins in a tough decision. Hawkins went deep into the tank, taking a little over three minutes as he talked to himself. Eventually, he apologized to the table and mucked his hand.

Mitchell Gets Aggro in Consecutive Hands

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

They say aggression pays off in poker.

And Brandon Mitchell made a strong case for the argument in two straight hands after the dinner break despite being well below the starting chip stack.

On the first hand, Mitchell raised to 1,100 and received a call from a player in the big blind.

The dealer ran out 84K on the flop, which the player in the small blind checked. Mitchell made a continuation bet of 1,400, and the player in the small blind called.

The J appeared on the turn, and the player in the small blind checked. Mitchell sized up to a 5,100 bet, which forced out his opponent.

On the very next hand, Mitchell raised to 1,100 while under the gun and then watched as the two players to his immediate left called. Action folded to the player in the small blind, and he also called, while the big blind folded.

The dealer fanned 2102 on the board, and the player on the small blind checked. Mitchell then bet 1,200, which drew a call from the player to his immediate left. The remaining two players folded.

The J showed up on the turn, and Mitchell bet 2,700, which his opponent called.

The 3 on the river slowed down action as Mitchell and the player to his immediate left checked.

Mitchell tabled AK, and his opponent folded.

Tian Doubles Through James

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

James Tian raised to 1,200 under the gun and Robert James called in the next seat over. The players on the button and in the big blind also called as a flop of 782 hit the table.

The action checked to James, and he bet 1,200. The button folded, but the big blind and Tian put in calls.

The big blind then led out for 6,500 on the 4 turn and Tian called. James made it 17,000 to go, folding out the big blind.

Tian, however, stuck in his stack of 52,000 and James quickly called.

James Tian: 65 All in
Robert James: 77

Tian had turned a straight and doubled up when James' set failed to fill up on the K river.
