The board ran out J9A5Q and Lipton caught his queen on the river to stack his opponent and inch near the 500,000-chip mark.

Howard Makes the Right Call

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Nicholas Howard was heads-up from the big blind against the player on the button on a flop of K72.

Howard proceeded to check-call his opponent down. First for 4,000 on flop, then for 21,500 on the 3 turn, and finally for 24,000 after the J completed the board.

The button could only show 54 for a busted straight draw and Howard turned over 107 for a pair of sevens to claim the pot.

Raber Doubles Through Micillo

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Domenico Micillo checked from the small blind to Jason Raber in middle positon. Raber then jammed all in on the 91084 board for a bet of 57,500, slightly less than the pot.

Micillo tried to get some information out of his opponent before putting in a call with the covering stack.

Jason Raber: QJ All in
Domenico Micillo: 54

Raber just needed to fade a club and he did just so when the 4 river gave Micillo a no-good three of a kind.

Dwan Forces Out Two

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Tom Dwan
Tom Dwan

There was a three-way pot going on as the board read Q873. The pot had around 43,000 in it. Tom Dwan was in middle position and took some time before acting. Eventually he bet 32,000. Bradley Mercer called in the big blind and an early position player with the shortest stack came along as well with the call to build the pot even more.

The river came the 9. Dwan was again deliberate with his action as he stood up to assess both stacks of his opponents, with the early position player having about 42,000 effective. After over a minute, Dwan fired 65,000.

Mercer quickly folded and so did the early position player and Dwan took down the chunky pot.
--
Shortly afterwards, Dwan eliminated the same early position player when he shoved for about 62,000 with AK and Dwan's QxQx held up in the run out.

Lee Swerdlin: AK All in
Dave Mcleod: 88

The board ran out 53Q8K and Mcleod's turned set awarded him the pot and an elimination.

Salem Sends Posner Packing

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Picking up the action partway through the hand, Sean Posner in early position and Naseem Salem from under the gun had gotten their two short stacks in the middle with Salem covering Posner.

Sean Posner: AQ All in
Naseem Salem: KK

Posner was not in great shape with his tournament life on the line. The 95Q flop did give the at risk player some hope but the 4 turn and 4 river kept the cowboys best to hand the pot and knockout to Salem.
