2024 World Series of Poker
Stephen Gerber bet 7,500 on a flop of 9♥2♦8♥ and was raised to 21,000 by Simon Britton. Gerber then pushed all in with the covering stack and Britton called off his final chips.
Simon Britton: K♥Q♥
Stephen Gerber: 8♠8♣
The 9♠ turn gave Gerber a full house to leave Britton drawing dead, and the latter took his leave as the 4♥ river added some salt to the wound.
Action was joined on the river with a large pot of at least 210,000 piled in the middle. The board read 8♠A♥2♣K♠7♥. It had been a three-bet pot as Daniel Hachem three-bet out of the big blind over the button raise from Xuejun Huang.
Hachem led-jammed the river for his remaining 75,000. Huang went deep into the tank and took close to three minutes before he eventually folded and Hachem gathered in the big pot for his stack.
Kevin Javier started the action with a raise to 5,000 from early position. Maxime Parys, seated next to him, three-bet to 15,000, with Adin Aragon in the cutoff calling along with Javier.
On the 6♦2♠5♠ flop, Javier checked to Parys, who bet 21,000, only to be called by Aragon.
The A♥ on the turn prompted Parys to bet 38,000. Aragon carefully counted his stack multiple times, glanced at Parys, then went all in. Parys quickly called.
Maxime Parys: A♠K♠
Adin Aragon: A♠Q♦
Parys held the advantage, and the 3♦ on the river confirmed his double-up.
After a limp from the player in middle position and the hijack, Fabian Rolli wanted to play for more as he raised to 18,000 from the cutoff. Junqiang Lyu reraised all in for 81,500 from the cutoff and Rolli made the call.
Junqiang Lyu: A♠A♣
Fabian Rolli: A♦K♠
Two monsters right next to each other, the dealer put out a safe 7♣2♠10♠9♥8♦ board and Lyu found the dream spot to double up and gain new life in the tournament.
There were around 75,000 chips in the pot on a board of 4♦6♠J♦9♥ when Joseph Mcmahon checked to Quan Zhou, who fired a bet of 19,500. Mcmahon called.
On the flush-completing 3♦ river, Mcmahon checked again and was then faced a bigger bet of 100,000 from Zhou. Mcmahon thought for some time before he dropped in the call.
Zhou tabled J♥J♠, and Mcmahon gave up the pot. As Zhou was raking in the chips, Mcmahon showed A♣A♦.
On the same table, Loni Hui is up to around 850,000 chips.
Tyler Rueger opened the action under the gun with a raise to 6,000. Zephyr Peling, in the small blind, three-bet to 21,500, which Rueger called.
On the 3♣5♠10♦ flop, Peling led with a bet of 14,000, and Rueger called.
The 10♣ on the turn prompted Peling to go all in, covering his opponent. Rueger agonized over his tournament life at risk but ultimately made the call.
Tyler Rueger: 8♣8♦
Zephyr Peling: A♦K♣
Rueger was ahead, but his hopes were dashed when the dealer revealed the K♥ on the river, sending him to the rail.
