Aziz Junior Spikes the River For a Bustout

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Marcelo Tadeu Aziz Junior
Marcelo Tadeu Aziz Junior

A player in middle position was all in for around 350,000 as Marcelo Tadeu Aziz Junior put him at risk from the big blind.

All-In Player: AK All in
Marcelo Tadeu Aziz Junior: QQ

The at-risk player took the lead on the A78 flop with top pair, while the 2 turn left him one card away from a double up. The river, though, was the Q and Aziz Junior spiked a two-outer for a set to win the pot and send his opponent to the rail.

"I can be all in and have you dead on the turn, and I still wouldn't celebrate until the river," tablemate Steven Warburton told Aziz Junior after the hand.

Ordet Gets a "Thin Value Shove" Paid Off; Rast Wins Multi-Way Pot

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

On a completed board of J7445, Kevin Ordet in the big blind moved forward a bet of 500,000. That covered his sole remaining opponent Dimitrii Kamalov, who went deep into the tank.

Eventually, Kamalov called all-in and Ordet tabled the 85 for a flopped gutshot that had only hit the five on the river. Yet, it was enough as Kamalov tried to slide his cards very carefully into the muck. The dealer looked at him almost apologizing as he turned over the AQ according to the all-in showdown rule.

"That was a thin value bet," someone at the table joked while several players were in disbelief.

Another player busted shortly after and the table was then filled with Lucas Greenwood and Brian Rast. The latter called a raise to 25,000 by John Kim from under the gun with Ordet in the cutoff and Adam Rude in the big blind coming along as well.

The Q43 flop was checked to Rast and he bet 40,000, Ordet and Rude called.

On the 6 turn, Rude checked again and Rast now bet 160,000 yet both opponents called once more. They then checked the 4 on the river and Rude showed J10 for a missed flush draw, Ordet had the 55 and Rast won the pot with the KQ.

Jesse Lonis

On a completed board of Q88QQ, Josh Reichard in the small blind checked and Jesse Lonis bet 190,000 on the button. Reichard then check-raised to 800,000 and Lonis gave it brief consideration before he called.

Reichard tabled the AK briefly as he was playing the board and Lonis won the massive pot with the KK for queens full of kings.

Nacho Barbero was seen dragging in a sizable pot after having doubled up by winning a huge flip.

With his cards still face up at showdown, Barbero tabled 88 on a board that read 89AQA for a full house, eights full of aces.

When PokerNews asked Barbero what his opponent had, he advised that the hand he was up against was AxJx.

Shortly after the hand took place, Jared Jaffee was seen exiting the tournament area and heading to the payout desk.

"Who's Next"; Vazquez Gets Back-to-Back Bustouts

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Luis Vazquez
Luis Vazquez

Luis Vazquez had just busted Ari Engel when he got involved in another big pot shortly afterward.

Around 200,000 was already in the middle on a board of K7910 when Vazquez bet 115,000 from the big blind. An under-the-gun player raised to 230,000 and Vazquez instantly reraised to 515,000.

His opponent tanked for several minutes before calling for around 300,000 more and turning over AK for top pair. Vazquez, though, had 77 for a set and the at-risk player was already drawing dead before the 6 fell on the river.

"I'll have what he's having," a tablemate said as Vazquez raked in the pot.

"Alright, who's next," Vazquez joked.

Kenny's Aces Hold On to Double

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Jeffrey Kenny
Jeffrey Kenny

Jeffrey Kenny got his stack of 765,000 in the middle before the flop from under the gun as an opponent on the button put him at risk.

Jeffrey Kenny: AA All in
Opponent: QQ

Kenny was far ahead with his aces and poised for a double up as the flop came 6109. The J turn gave his opponent some hope with a straight draw, but Kenny held on through the 5 river to double up.

"Yes. Always a sweat," he yelled out before taking in the pot.

Jose Aguilera, last year's 10th-place Main Event finisher, is also at this table.

Stout Soaring After Double Knockout

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Matthew Stout
Matthew Stout

Egill Porsteinsson moved all in from under the gun for 265,000 and was called by Robert Wilke in middle position. Matt Stout then raised to 535,000 in the cutoff. The button and blinds folded to send the action back to Wilke who, somewhat unwillingly, called off for less.

Egill Porsteinsson: 99 All in
Robert Wilke: 1010 All in
Matt Stout: AA

Stout had woken up with a monster at just the right moment to put himself in a commanding position to score the double knockout. The aces were still best after the 85346 runout to hand Stout a massive pot while condemning Porsteinsson and Wilke to a trip to the payout desk.

Lehr Eliminated in Three-Way All-In

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Keith Lehr
Keith Lehr

A short-stacked Eiji Suzuki was all-in with the A4 and had the worst of it when he was up against Steven Ayoub with the KK and the 66 of Keith Lehr.

The 1052 flop gave Suzuki a gutshot, which he hit with the 3 turn. After the 7 river, the Japanese jumped out of his seat in celebration. He tripled up his severe short stack, while Ayoub won the larger side pot to eliminate Lehr.
