Matt Hunt raised to 1200 from the hijack and was called by a player on the button. The small blind then three-bet to 3,300, Hunt decided to four-bet to 8500. The button folded and the small blind made the call.

The small blind bet 1,000 in the dark before the dealer spread a 3♥4♦5♠ flop. Hunt elected to raise to 8,000, the small blind then three-bet for roughly 24,000 putting Hunt all in and at risk. Hunt snap-called and was ahead.

The turn was 2♣, and the river was the 7♦, securing the double up for Hunt.

The small blind continued with another bet on 7♥10♣8♦ and Gathy called.

Action went check-check on the 4♠ turn before Gathy moved all in for 72,000 on the 6♣ river, covering his opponent. The small blind eventually stuck a chip in the middle for a call, but was no good against Gathy's 9♥8♥.

The losing hand was never shown and the small blind exited the tournament area gracefully.

Initial Dates Released for 20th WSOP Circuit Season

The initial schedule — US and international — is out for the 2024-2025 World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) season, and it should create some excitement within the poker community.

Action for the 20th Circuit season kicks off at a familiar spot — Choctaw Casino Resort in Durant, Oklahoma — on July 17, the same day as the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event concludes. There will also be a return to the same casino in October.

There are 18 stops — 13 in the US and five in other countries — on the 2024 portion of the WSOPC schedule. That includes five different countries and eight US states.
