Jorstad Eliminated, Grech Makes a Good Fold

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Espen Jorstad
Espen Jorstad

Zachary Grech opened the button to 10,000 and Espen Jorstad shoved from the small blind for 22,000. Pedro Padilha called out of the big blind, and Grech put in the extra 12,000 chips.

On the 5JK flop, both players checked to the 2 turn. Padilha led out for 42,000, and Grech thought for a long time before he folded.

Pedro Padilha: AA

Grech started giving himself a pat on the back as he stated that he folded a king. Jorstad needed to find one of the two remaining snowmen in the deck but instead the K landed on the river, which meant he was elimimated.

"I would have made a butt call and got there," said Grech after seeing the river, which would have improved him to trips.

The initial schedule — US and international — is out for the 2024-2025 World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) season, and it should create some excitement within the poker community.

Action for the 20th Circuit season kicks off at a familiar spot — Choctaw Casino Resort in Durant, Oklahoma — on July 17, the same day as the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event concludes. There will also be a return to the same casino in October.

There are 18 stops — 13 in the US and five in other countries — on the 2024 portion of the WSOPC schedule. That includes five different countries and eight US states.

Kharlin Sued

Kharlin Sued opened the hijack to 12,000 and Jonathan Jaffe three-bet from the button to 35,000. Once the blinds folded, Sued shoved for a little over 200,000, and Jaffe quickly called.

Jonathan Jaffe: AK

Both caught a piece of the 9K3 flop as Sued had the nut flush draw, and Jaffe hit top pair. Sued needed to find a club but never managed it as neither the 3 turn nor 8 river could prevent him from being eliminated.
