Thomas Savitsky moved all in from under the gun for 3,650,000 and Yotam Shmuelov called his all-in for 1,650,000.
Yotam Shmuelov: K♠K♦
Thomas Savitsky: A♠K♣
The board ran clean for Shmuelov, as it came 9♠4♣4♥8♥6♣ bringing no help for Savitsy's ace-king. Shmuelov doubles to over 3 million, with 37 players left.
Luis Diazmoreno raised on the button to 600,000, and David Gonia responded by moving all-in from the small blind for 3,500,000. Play folded back to Diazmoreno, and he snap-called the bet.
David Gonia: K♦Q♠
Luis Diazmoreno: A♥K♣
Gonia, dominated by his opponents' holding, really needed some help.
The flop 10♣10♠K♠ offered some chop pot opportunities, and the turn 9♣ gave Gonia even more ways to win.
The river rolled off the Q♣, and Gonia went from underdog to victor and kept his deep run going.
The action was picked up on the flop of 5♣9♦8♠. Stefan Dimitrov placed a bet of 650,000 and Matthew Culp moved all in for his last 1,800,000, which Dimitrov immediately called.
Matthew Culp: 6♠5♠
Stefan Dimitrov: A♥A♠
The turn J♠ and the river J♣ did not improve Culp who was eliminated.
Luis Diazmoreno opened the action from under the gun with a raise to 550,000 and was quickly met with an all-in from Wenmian Hua in the hijack for roughly 2,800,000. After giving it some thought, Diazmoreno made the call, and the cards were turned up.
Wenmian Hua: 5♠5♣
Luis Diazmoreno: K♣Q♥
Hua held the lead through the 3♦8♦3♣ flop and 4♥ turn, but the river brought the Q♦, pairing Diazmoreno’s queen and turning the hand in his favor. Hua was eliminated, while Diazmoreno scooped the pot and boosted his stack.
Jonathan Schwartz three-bet all in on the button after Thomas Walsh raised from the cutoff to 500,000. Walsh made the call, and we were off to the races.
Jonathan Schwartz: J♠J♦
Thomas Walsh: A♠Q♠
The board came out with 4♦4♣10♣J♥5♥ and Schwartz announced, "Lucky I hold".
From under the gun, Thomas Savitsky raised to 500,000 which received an all-in shove for around 1,800,000 from the man seated immediately to his left, Joshua Zapalac. Action was folded around and back with Savitsky, he made the call putting Zapalac at risk.
Joshua Zapalac; A♠A♣
Thomas Savitsky: Q♣Q♥
Zapalac stood up and refused to look at the board as it was dealt. He distracted himself by relating to us how his beloved goldfish, Bella, died yesterday. He was interrupted by one of the players, who teasingly shouted as if shocked at the flop which dropped 10♣6♠8♣.
Zapalac was forced to look at the board and was relieved that his aces held. Zapalac continued to watch the runout of 4♣2♣ and scooped the pot after Savitsky counted to match his chips.
Brad Sailor opened on the button with a raise to 2,000,000. Gary Blackwood reraised all in from the small blind with 3,700,000 chips. The big blind folded and the action was over to Sailor. He went into the tank with around 1,000,000 behind. After calling the clock Sailor was ready to go all in.
Brad Sailor A♣K♣
Gary Blackwood 10♥10♣
The board showed: J♦5♠A♠7♠10♠
Unfortunately for Sailor, who had to leave the tournament. After Blackwood found a set on the river.
