Bujtas Sends Three

Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Laszlo Bujtas raised to 10,000 from the cutoff. Jan Jachtmann called from the button, and Chad Eveslage called from the small blind.

The flop came out 853 and Eveslage check-called a bet of 25,000.

The 3 turn also led to Eveslage check-calling, but this time it was a bet of 33,000 chips.

Bujtas did not slow down on the K river and forced Eveslage all-in with a bet of ~200,000 on the river. After a couple of time banks Eveslage elected to fold his hand.

Yockey Finally Gets the Better of Mahmood

Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Bryce Yockey
Bryce Yockey

No-Limit Hold'em

Bryce Yockey and Ayaz Mahmood were heads-up in a pot with the flop reading 1043. Yockey led out with a bet of 50,000 from the small blind and Mahmood raised to 150,000 in the cutoff. Yockey three-bet shoved all in for 476,000 and Mahmood quickly called.

Bryce Yockey: A10All in
Ayaz Mahmood: K10

Yockey held the better kicker in what turned into a chip-leading pot late on Day 1. The J hit the turn and the A on the river to give Yockey two pair and a double up.

One hand later, Mahmood got the last of his chips in the middle with pocket tens but ran into the ace-jack of Sam Soverel. An ace on the turn locked up the pot for Soverel and Mahmood went from riches to rags.

Chidwick Keeps Rolling

Level 9 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Gabriel Shohet limped in from under the gun which invited Stephen Chidwick, Dario Sammartino, and Yuri Dzivielevski to all come along for cheap. The flop came Q82 and the action checked around to the 3 on the turn.

Dzivielvski led out with a bet of 6,000 which Shohet called. Chidwick raised the pot to 39,000 and Sammartino quickly folded. Dzivielvski called and Shohet also folded.

The river was the 10 and both players checked after a pause. Dzivielvski announced two pair but Chidwick tabled KQJ8 for a flush to scoop another pot.

Rheem and Schwartz Hit the Rail

Level 9 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Chino Rheem and John Pannucci were heads-up in a pot with around 60,000 in the middle and a flop of 875. After a bet and a couple of raises, the two players had all of their chips in the middle with Rheem at risk for around 240,000.

John Pannucci: AA

Rheem needed to find a queen but was unable to do so on the 7, 9 runout which led to his elimination.

Next door, Noah Schwartz four-bet shoved all in for around 85,000 and was called by Shannon Shorr on his left. Schwartz held KQ but was up against the AJ of Shorr.

The board ran out J9754 to give Shorr a pair of jacks and eliminate Schwartz.

Double KO for Pannucci

Level 9 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

No-Limit Holdem

The action folded to John Pannucci on the button who made it 9,000. Next to act, Mitchell Hynam went all-in for 35,000. Joao Simao called from the big blind, and John Pannucci went all-in to put Simao's ~115,000 at risk. Simao made the call and they were off to see five.

Mitchell Hynam: K10 All in
Joao Simao: AQ All in
John Pannucci: AQ

The flop of A42 was a good one for both players holding ace-queen, but the J made things scary for Simao. The 7 peeled off on the river which was music to Pannucci's ears, as he sent two to the rail and chips up close to half a million.

Big Stacks Collide, No Harm Done

Level 9 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Three players were in the hand on a board of J107K with around 35,000 in the middle. The action checked to Ayaz Mahmood on the button who bet 35,000. Bryce Yockey check-raised to 140,000 which got Danny Tang to fold but Mahmood re-shoved all in for around 600,000. Yockey called but wasn't happy about it.

"I don't have any redraw," Yockey said.

"Me neither," Mahmood touted back.

"Whew!!!" Yockey said with a swipe of the brow.

Both players turned over AxQxXxXx and chopped the pot on the 7 river.

Lehr Leaves Frank on Crumbs

Level 9 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Christopher Frank raised to 6,000 on the button and Keith Lehr three-bet to 22,000 from the small blind. Frank responded with a four-bet shove and Lehr called off his stack of 149,000.

Keith Lehr: 99All in
Christopher Frank: AK

It was a coin flip and the flop of 1073 left Lehr in the lead with his pocket pair. The 4 and J runout changed nothing and Frank passed over a double up, leaving himself on a short stack.
