Quads for Mahmood

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Pot Limit Omaha

Youness Barakat raised to 8,500 from the hijack. Ayaz Mahmood called on the button, along with Oliver Weis and Bryce Yockey in the small and big blinds.

The flop came out Q82 and the action was checked over to Mahmood who bet 18,500 chips. Only Yockey called.

On a turn Q Yockey check-called a 32,000 chip bet from Mahmood.

The river was the Q, and Yockey checked once again. Mahmood bet 125,000. Yockey shrugged and made the call, disgusted when Mahmood tabled his cards of AQ106. A rare misstep from Yockey, while Mahmood balloons his stack close to the 800,000 mark.

Weisman Kicks Davies to the Rail

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Seth Davies opened to 5,000 from under the gun and Dylan Weisman reraised to 16,500 on the button. Davies called and they went heads-up to a flop of J106. Davies checked to Weisman who bet 20,000 and Davies called.

The turn was the 7 and Davies checked again. Weisman splashed in a chunk of chips to put Davies to the test for his remaining 90,000 chips. Davies thought about it and then called, showing KJ. However, Weisman tabled AJ for a better kicker and the 7 was no help to Davies on the river.

Philip Sternheimer
Philip Sternheimer

Pot-Limit Omaha

Jonathan Azoulay raised it up in middle position and Philip Sternheimer three-bet from the blinds. Azoulay called which created a pot of around 70,000 going to the flop of 1063. Both players checked and the K rolled off on the turn.

The two players quickly got all of their chips in the middle with Azoulay being at risk for just shy of 100,000. Sternheimer rolled over AQJ7 for a wrap while Azoulay held KK85 for a set of kings.

The dealer burned and turned the Q on the river to give Sternheimer a straight and eliminate Azoulay.
