Event #14: $25,000 High Roller PLO/NLH Mixed
Day 1 Completed
Day 1 of Event #14: $25,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha/No-Limit Hold'em Mixed has just concluded at the 2025 World Series of Poker, which is hosted at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. Only 70 out of the 178 entries who entered today were able to find a bag, and this event has a prize pool of over $4,000,000 with two levels of late registration still available.
None other than Stephen Chidwick headlines the field, currently leading with over 1,100,000. In vintage Chidwick fashion, he was able to find a double-up through world-class player Jesse Lonis, and then almost quadruple his 300,000-chip stack within the next four hours.
| Rank | Player | Country | Chip Count | Big Blinds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Stephen Chidwick | United Kingdom | 1,136,000 | 227 |

Names such as Jared Bleznick, Bryce Yockey, Shaun Deeb, and many more also won massive pots to swing their days, and have hundreds of big blinds heading into Day 2.
Plenty of big-name players were unable to find a bag today. Names such as Phil Ivey, Isaac Haxton, Chris Brewer, Ren Lin, Josh Arieh, Artur Martirosian, David Benyamine, and many more tried and failed to find steam during this very difficult test of both ability and endurance.
The players will be coming back to Level 11 (3,000/5,000) at noon on June 3 and will be playing ten more 60-minute levels. This will include 15-minute breaks after every two levels and a 60-minute dinner break after Level 16.
During play on Day 2, registration will close, and the money bubble will burst. Everyone will have their eyes on the payouts once released to see the cash prizes that come with one of the most elite bracelet events of the summer.

Sean Winter raised it up from middle position and was called by Dylan Weisman in the cutoff and Brian Rast in the big blind. The flop came 8♣3♥2♠ and the action checked to Weisman who bet 10,000. Both Rast and Winter called to see the 9♣ on the turn.
The action checked around this time and the K♥ landed on the river. Rast led out with a bet of 68,000, leaving just a few chips behind. Winter called and Weisman mucked his cards. Rast flipped over K♦3♦ for two pair but Winter had 2♣2♦ for a set to win the pot.

Dylan Linde: A♦Q♠
Shaun Deeb: K♠K♥
The board ran out 10♠7♠7♣4♥8♣ and Deeb's pocket kings held on to eliminate Linde in the last few hands of the night.

The clock has been paused and there will be six more hands at each table to end the action for Day 1.
Pot-Limit Omaha
There were four limpers when Jared Bleznick raised the minimum to 8,000 from the big blind. Nacho Barbero just called in early position and Sam Soverel made it 40,000 on his left. The action was back on Bleznick who re-potted to 136,000.
"What's a $25k worth to you?" Barbero asked before flat-calling once again. Soverel, meanwhile, threw his cards away and it was just heads-up going to a flop of Q♠J♦8♠.
Bleznick shipped all in as the big stack and Barbero tabled his 7♥7♦4♥4♦ before folding, leaving himself with just 110,000 behind.
"Nobody made you put 130k in preflop!" Michael Duek exclaimed from the other end of the table. "You did that!"

Seth Davies raised to 8,000 from middle position and was called by Erick Lindgren in the hijack along with Daniel Barriocanal from the big blind.
The flop came Q♥9♣5♦, action was checked to Lindgren who bet 12,000 and was called by both players.
The K♥ turn was followed by a round of checks.
On the 4♦ river, Barriocanal checked, and Davies fired 65,000 into the middle. Lindgren quickly folded. After using a time bank, Barriocanal did the same.
