Lamb Building on the Bubble

Level 18 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Ben Lamb opened from the hijack to 85,000 and Shaun Deeb called from the button.

On a 962 flop, Lamb bet 125,000 and Deeb called.

The A turn card was followed by two checks.

On a 9 river, Lamb bet 200,000 and asked Deeb, "Are you ever raising?" Deeb said no, and Lamb got up to check his computer. As he was leaving his chair, Deeb fired in the call, was shown Q10109, and mucked.

Straight Flush on the Bubble

Level 18 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Robert Cowen
Robert Cowen

Pot-Limit Omaha

With the tournament still on the bubble, Robert Cowen opened the button to 50,000 and only Bryce Yockey called from the big blind.

Yockey elected to check-raise on a flop of 108J from 45,000 to 200,000, and Cowen called.

Yockey continued to bet on the 9 turn, and again for 200,000. Cowen called again.

The river J slowed the action down as both players checked. However, it seemed Yockey was setting the trap when he turned over the rivered straight flush, showing down QJ109.

Cowen mucked his hand, and Yockey scooped the pot.

Level 18 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Mitchell Shows Koon a Bluff

Level 17 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Jason Koon raised to 70,000 from the cutoff and Brandon Mitchell defended from the big blind. The flop fell KQ9 and both players checked to the 5 on the turn. Mitchell led out with a bet of 60,000 and Koon called.

The river was the A and Mitchell announced all in, putting Koon to the test for his remaining 210,000. A crowd gathered around the table but Koon decided to send his cards to the muck. Mitchell proceeded to show his 101096 for just a pair of tens, using the bubble to pressure his opponents.

John Hennigan opened to 40,000 in middle position and Michael Moncek just called in the small blind. Stephen Chidwick three-bet to 180,000 from the big blind which got Hennigan to fold. Moncek, however, quickly shoved all in for 990,000 and Chidwick eventually called.
