2025 World Series of Poker
Level: 14
Blinds: 5,000/10,000
Ante: 10,000
No-Limit Hold'em
Philip Sternheimer raised from under the gun to 18,000. Shaun Deeb called from the button, along with Michael Duek from the big blind.
The flop came 3♦2♦2♠. Duek checked, Sternheimer bet 23,000, Deeb called, and Duek made it 70,000 to go. Sternheimer called and Deeb folded.
Duek went all-in on the J♣ turn for 100,000, and was snapped by Sternheimer.
Michael Duek: A♦9♦
Philip Sternheimer: A♥A♠
In need of help, Duek found life on the 6♦ river, cracking the aces of Sternheimer with a rivered flush.
No-Limit Hold'em
Cherish Andrews raised to 16,000 in the cutoff, and Shannon Shorr defended from the big blind. The flop came K♠4♦3♦, and Andrews continued with a bet of 10,000. Shorr check-raised to 27,000, and Andrews piled all in for 90,000. Shorr mulled it over before flicking in a chip to call.
Andrews flipped over A♦K♣ for top pair, which was ahead of Shorr. The Q♥ on the turn and the K♦ on the river left Andrews in the lead, and Shorr turned his cards face down as he conceded the pot.
We joined the hand with roughly 100,000 chips in the pot and a full board showing Q♠K♦8♣8♥J♠.
This was a blind versus blind battle, and Andjelko Andrejevic led out from the small blind for 16,000. [Removed:548], in the big blind, slid 118,000 over the line, leaving a single 1,000 chip behind. Andrejevic took a little time to think but made the call.
[Removed:549] showed the bad news, K♥8♦, for a full house, and Andrejevic mucked his hand.
[Removed:548] opened the hijack to 17,000 before seeing Chance Kornuth three-bet from the big blind to 58,000.
[Removed:549] called, and the players went to a 6♣A♦3♣ flop. Kornuth continued for 30,000, and [Removed:549] called.
Both players checked the 10♥ turn, and the dealer put out the J♠ river. Kornuth bet 88,000, leaving himself a single 1,000 chip behind. [Removed:549] used a couple of time banks for calling.
Kornuth showed A♥K♦, which was good enough as [Removed:549] mucked his hand.
There's bad blood between Shaun Deeb and Sean Perry, and it boiled over to a high roller event at the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP).
Things got nasty between the high-stakes players both on Day 1 and Day 2 in Event #14: $25,000 High Roller PLO/NLH Mixed. But Deeb got a zinger in upon Perry's second elimination from the tournament.
Pot-Limit Omaha
Frank Brannan raised to 20,000 from under the gun. Seth Davies called from the hijack, and Ognyan Dimov raised as next to act from the cutoff to 75,000. From the small blind, Andriy Lyubovetskiy went all-in for his 110,000 chip stack. Folded back to Dimov who made the call.
Andriy Lyubovetskiy: 7♥6♦5♦3♥
Ognyan Dimov: K♥K♣10♣8♠
The board ran out J♣4♣2♠2♦Q♥ and the kings from Dimov ended Lyubovetskiy's tournament run.
