Katz Eliminates Engel

Level 11

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Cary Katz opened to 6,000 from under the gun before Ari Engel potted the small blind to 20,000, Katz jammed, covering slightly, and Engel called off for 56,000.

Both took one on the first and second draws. On the final draw, Engel took one and Katz was pat.

Ari Engel: 7x5x3x2x All in
Cary Katz: 9x7x5x4x2x

Engel had a premium draw but needed some help to survive. Unfortunately for him, he peeled a 3x to pair as he hit the rail early in the day.

PLO is Negreanu's Jam; Hellmuth Eats a Hot Dog

Level 11

Pot-Limit Omaha

Phil Hellmuth was eating a hot dog at the table and Daniel Negreanu didn't waste the opportunity to whip out his camera and film him.

"It's an epic moment when Phil eats a hot dog. Bon appetite," Negreanu said.

Chad Eveslage then put in his last 10,000 from the button and Negreanu put him at risk in the big blind.

Chad Eveslage: AQJ6 All in
Daniel Negreanu: 101073

"I like my chances," Eveslage said heading to the flop, which came 963 to give Negreanu a flush draw to go with his pair.

"Not so much anymore," Eveslage added, and he missed the 5 turn and K river as Negreanu made his flush to send the 2023 champion to the rail.

Ruben Hits the Rail

Level 11

Pot-Limit Omaha

Koji Fujimoto opened the hijack to 5,500 and Huck Seed called in the cutoff. In the big blind, Brad Ruben potted to 23,000 and only Fujimoto called.

On the 984 flop, Ruben jammed for an even 50,000 and Fujimoto called.

Koji Fujimoto: KKJ7

"Ouch, I'm in bad shape," lamented the newly-minted five-time bracelet winner Ruben after seeing both his pair and draw were dominated. He found no help on the 54 runout as he hit the exit.

Wright Keeps His Jack, Claassen Takes His Last Chips

Level 11

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Nick Wright raised to 6,000 in the cutoff as action went on Gus Hansen in the small blind. He asked Wright how much he had behind and took a minute but eventually folded. Christopher Claassen in the big blind, though, called and drew one, while Wright stood pat.

Claassen then led out for 15,000 and Wright called off his last chips. Claassen showed 10x8x6x5x4x and Wright flashed a jack and searched through the deck to find out what he would've gotten on a draw before heading for the exit.

Ramos Holds Against Werman

Level 12

Pot-Limit Omaha

Daniel Negreanu opened to 6,500 from under the gun before Felipe Ramos three-bet to 22,000 next to act. In the small blind, Louis Werman jammed for 53,000. Negreanu folded and Ramos called holding 2,000 more chips.

Louis Werman: 10987 All in
Felipe Ramos: AA96

It was a classic race between aces and a double suited run-down. The KJ7 flop gave more outs to Werman, but he failed to improve on the 26 runout and hit the rail at the hands of Ramos.

Livingston Makes a Better Jack to Bust Seed

Level 13
Huck Seed
Huck Seed

Razz

Alex Livingston: XxXx/QxJx7x6x/Xx
Huck Seed: XxXx/5xJx4x5/Xx

Huck Seed completed and Alex Livingston called.

Seed bet on fourth street. "This is kind of a dicey spot," Livingston said as he called.

Seed bet again on fifth. "It's getting really dicey now," Livingston said, calling down to sixth. Livingston then bet and Seed called all in.

Seed ended up with 10x6x4x for J-10-6-5-4, but Livingston turned over Jx8x5x for J-8-7-6-5 to win the pot and send Seed to the rail.

"You better win this," Seed said to tablemate Dan Zack on his way to the exit.
