Aram Zobian
Aram Zobian

Aram Zobian raised to 25,000 on the button and was called by Weston Pring in the small blind and Zyad Qasem in the big blind.

The flop came K85 and it checked around to Zobian who bet 22,000. Pring called and Qasem made it 110,000 to go. Zobian then came over the top with a raise to 200,000, forcing folds from both Pring and Qasem.

Zobian flashed J8 as he dragged in the pot.

Song Eliminates Baldwin with Higher Straight

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Kevin Song and Eric Baldwin were engaged on a completed board of 810928 and a pot of 200,000 in a five handed table.

Song bet 37,000 on the river and was waiting for Baldwin to act, taking his time to consider his next move. Finally, he decided to shove all-in. Song asked for a count, but before the dealer could even do so, he made the call.

Baldwin showed 76 for a straight but Song tabled QJ for the higher straight. Baldwin could only say "Sick," as he left the table. Song scooped the pot for a chip up.

Punsri Chipping Up

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Punnat Punsri likely has the chip lead at table 636. In this hand, he called a 26,000 raise from Kanishka Reddy on the button.

The action went check-check on a flop of 643. Then on the 8 turn, Punsri fired out for 70,000. That brought a fold from Reddy.

Punsri is a dangerous player who is in contention to take down his table which is now down to four players.

Duffy Rues Firestone Fold

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Ciaran Duffy
Ciaran Duffy

Only one table remained nine-handed in Level 5 of the SHOOTOUT's Day 2, however some preflop madness was ready to change that completely. Joe Kuether open-shoved from middle position, only for Ciaran Duffy to put him at risk by reshoving in the lojack. Small blind Drake Kemper, covering Duffy by around 40,000, decided his hand was good enough to get in there as well.

Despite all this action, it seemed as though there may have been more to come, as big blind Eric Firestone seemed to be in the blender, and was completely unsure whether to muck or play for it all. Despite covering all three, he relinquished his cards, announcing that he "folded ace-king."

Joe Kuether: 1010 All in
Ciaran Duffy: QQ All in
Drake Kemper: AJ

It was revealed that Duffy had the best of it, and his flopped set on 2Q9 had the other players drawing to runner runner. The 6 sealed his near triple up, leaving the 3 river inconsequential. Duffy couldn't have asked for anything more, except maybe for Firestone wanting to gamble a little more. Kemper, left with only four big blinds, went on to bust the next hand.

Carmona Gains Massive Chip Lead at Table #644

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Five handed, action was picked up with Luis Yepez Carmona with all his chips worth 450,000 in the middle of the table for an all-in and with action on Rene Lazaro Cifuentes on a flop of 87Q6K and a pot of about 700,000.

Cifuentes was taking his time to decide what to do, staring intently at the board. Finally he made the call. Carmona showed 54 for a straight. Cifuentes, visibly frustrated, flipped over KQ for a two pair.

Carmona scooped the massive pot leaving Cifuentes with a little bit more than one big blind behind.

Lavin Heating Up

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Action picked up on the river with a sizable pot brewing between Blake Bohn and Michael Lavin.

With about 250,000 in the middle and the board reading 88933, both players checked.

Lavin tabled K9 for two pair, nines and eights. Bohn tossed his cards into the muck.

Thomas Adds to His Stack

Level 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Three handed, Joshua Thomas opened for 25,000 on the button and got called by big blind Thomas Fuller leading them to the flop.

Both players knuckled the J3J flop. After a check from Fuller on the 6, Thomas made a pot sized bet of 50,000 to take down the pot.
