Peters Continues to Sun Run

Level 12 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
David Peters
David Peters

David Peters opened for a raise to 40,000. Cary Katz called in the small blind and the two went heads up to a flop.

The action went check-check on the 984 board. On the 10 turn, Katz led out for 100,000. Peters used a time bank card, before jamming all in for the remainder of Katz's chips. Katz quickly made the call and turned over 1010. Peters showed him the bad news as he had 76 for a straight.

The A river did not improve Katz, and he was eliminated from the tournament on the soft bubble.

Peters is now one of the largest stacks in the tournament.

Hellmuth Storms Out

Level 12 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

A loud thump was heard at Table 666 and Phil Hellmuth was out of his seat in frustration. After losing an all-in to Barak Wisbrod, Hellmuth slammed his fists on the bumper of the table before storming out of the Horseshoe Events Centre.

"Seat open," David Coleman said from a nearby table that was still intact.

Meanwhile, Phil Ivey was also eliminated a couple of tables away but not a sound was made as he quietly escaped the tournament area.

Barak Wisbrod
Barak Wisbrod

Stephen Song opened for a raise to 35,000. Barak Wisbrod called next to act, and Phil Hellmuth came along from the big blind.

The three players took a flop of A75. Hellmuth checked, Song bet 35,0000, Wisbrod called, and Hellmuth got out of the way.

The 6 fell on the turn, and now Song checked. Wisbrod made a bet of 145,000, and Song went into the tank. He used one time extension, before moving all in for 520,000. This sent Wisbrod into a tank of his own. He used two time extensions before making the call.

Stephen Song: AQ All in
Barak Wisbrod: 55

Song was drawing dead, and the J river was inconsequential.
