Heimiller Senses Weakness

Level 13

Brandon Shack-Harris: XxXx / 6A7 - folded on fifth street
Dan Heimiller: XxXx / 4Q6
George Alexander: XxXx / 1079 - folded on fifth street
Qiang Xu: XxXx / Q75x - folded on fifth street

Brandon Shack-Harris called, with Dan Heimiller and George Alexander doing the same. Qiang Xu completed, with his three opponents sticking around.

Fourth street checked through to fifth street and Xiang placed out a bet. Shack-Harris folded before Heimiller made it two-bets. Alexander got out of the way and Xu also conceded the pot.

After the hand, Heimiller told PokerNews that he sensed Xu was weak. He said he had jack-four in the hole, and went with his gut feeling.

McCormick Continues Ascent

Level 13

Tom McCormick: J102 / KQA10
Brian Yoon: XxXxXx / 7984 - folded on seventh street
Nick Guagenti: XxXxXx / A72J

Tom McCormick completed, and Brian Yoon called. Nick Guagenti raised to put the action back on McCormick. He called, and so did Yoon.

On fourth street, Guagenti bet and was called by McCormick and Yoon. On fifth street, McCormick took the betting lead, with Yoon and Guagenti calling. The same action took place on sixth street.

On the final betting round, McCormick fired out once more. Yoon got out of the way to put the action on Guagenti. He mulled over his options before deciding to call.

McCormick tabled his ace-high straight, and Guagenti mucked his hand.

Gus Hansen Involved in One of the Rarest Poker Hands You'll See at the 2025 WSOP

Level 14
Gus Hansen
Gus Hansen

PokerNews' Brad Whitehouse captured a hand on Saturday that might end up being the rarest we'll see all summer at the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP). At the very least, the rarest chop pot.

Gus Hansen and Dzmitry Urbanovich battled for a hefty pot on Day 2 in Event #23: $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship with 35 out of 127 players remaining. The pot ended in a chop, but it left future Poker Hall of Famer Nick Schulman in awe.

"I've never seen that before," Schulman, who has seen nearly everything at the poker table, was overheard saying as he glanced at the tabled cards. "Wow, that's an amazing one."

Moskowitz Gets a Double(ish) from Yoon

Level 14

Brian Yoon: XxXxXx/A7J5
David Moskowitz: 6x6x2 / 3310K

Action was caught on seventh street, with around 80,000 in the middle. David Moskowitz bet, leaving him with 4,000 behind. Yoon was in the blender, mulling over his options. He appeared to make a reluctant call, and then mucked after seeing Moskowitz's sixes and threes.
