McCully Takes Juanda Down

Level 10 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The flop read QAJ with around 60,000 in the middle.

John Juanda checked in the big blind, and Josh McCully bet 14,000 from the middle position. Juanda looked at his cards, his remaining stack, and then shoved for around 74,000. McCully quickly called.

John Juanda: Q10 All in
Josh McCully: A8

Katz Kicked Out by Winter

Level 10 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The flop read 8510. Nacho Barbero had checked in the small blind and Cary Katz had shoved from the big blind. Sean Winter tanked, used a time bank and then also shoved for a bit more. Barbero revealed the 8 and then mucked the rest for the fold.

Cary Katz: 97 All in
Sean Winter: JJ

Katz had the open ended straight draw but Winter held the blockers with the pair of jacks.

The rest of the board was completed with the 8 on the turn and the 4 on the river for Katz to make his way out of the tournament area.

One Flip Too Many for Dwan

Level 10 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Jamie Dwan was forced all in from the big blind with only 10,000 chips. Byron Kaverman opened in early position, and only Laszlo Bujtas called from the small blind.

A continuation bet from Kaverman was enough to get Bujtas to fold on a 3KQ flop.

Jamie Dwan: 99 All in
Byron Kaverman: AJ

The 25 runout was safe for Dwan as he trebled his stack.

The very next hand, Bujtas raised on the button to 27,000. Dwan moved all in for 30,000, and Thomas Muehloecker called from the big blind.

On a flop of 64Q, Muehloecker chose to lead out for a bet of 26,000, Bujtas responded with a raise to 83,000, and Muehloecker called.

The turn 8 didn't slow Bujtas down, and when checked to, he moved all in for roughly 450,000, which got the fold from Muehloecker.

Jamie Dwan: 99 All in
Laszlo Bujtas: AQ

Dwan found himself with pocket nines for the second hand in a row, but this was a flip he wasn't able to win as the board ran out clean for Bujtas, and Dwan headed to the exit.

Kabrhel took a moment before putting his one remaining chip in the middle.

Pitavy Gets There to Bust Green

Level 11 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Richard Green made it 32,000 from the button before Emilien Pitavy jammed from the big blind for 440,000. Green had slighlty fewer chips than Pitavy, so the raise was for the remainder of his stack. After standing up and doing some inventory, Green called

Richard Green: A9 All in
Emilien Pitavy: A5

Pitavy was in rough shape as Green had the better kicker to go with his ace. The flop came down 78Q, helping neither player. The 6 turn provided Pitavy with a few extra outs, and the 4 river imprived him to a straight, Green hit the rail and Pitavy moved up to 840,000 in chips.
