Whether it was Nick Schulman dropping the coldest line of the summer, Michael "Texas Mike" Moncek shoving blind into four premium hands, or Christopher Zollo turning a meme-worthy alias into a legit bracelet run, the first seven days of poker's biggest festival did not disappoint.

PokerNews' Brad Whitehouse captured a hand on Saturday that might end up being the rarest we'll see all summer at the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP). At the very least, the rarest chop pot.

Gus Hansen and Dzmitry Urbanovich battled for a hefty pot on Day 2 in Event #23: $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship with 35 out of 127 players remaining. The pot ended in a chop, but it left future Poker Hall of Famer Nick Schulman in awe.

"I've never seen that before," Schulman, who has seen nearly everything at the poker table, was overheard saying as he glanced at the tabled cards. "Wow, that's an amazing one."

Nursing a short-stack, Matthew Mcewan moved all in for 210,000. When action folded to Byron Kaverman in the small blind, he called, and the big blind folded.

The flop gave Mcewan plenty of opportunity to crack the aces, coming 8♣J♣Q♥.

Alas, the turn and river were less cooperative, the 2♠ and K♦ were no help, and Mcewan headed to the exit.

Over at another table, Gregory Jensen was eliminated as the last player before the dinner break.

Shylko Sends Seidel Out

Aliaksandr Shylko raised to 60,000 in the cutoff. Erik Seidel sat in the big blind, and the short-stacked Hall of Famer committed his last 210,000 when the action had folded to him. Shylko made a quick call, revealing the cards.

Seidel did not improve on the Q♣10♠2♠ flop or 4♦ turn, and the J♥ river made Shylko a pair to spell the end of Seidel's tournament run.

Weissman was in a flip for his tournament life. The flop came down 5♠7♠7♦, giving Mota a few extra outs. However, the 4♥ on the turn gave Weissman a boat, as the inconsequential 2♣ fell on the river, and Weissman doubled.

Ausmus Has Tollerene Drawing Dead on the Turn

Catching the action on a flop of 10♠8♥10♣, where Ben Tollerene checked from the big blind. Jeremy Ausmus bet from the cutoff, which Tollerene called.

The 6♦ appeared on the turn and Tollerene knuckled the action to Ausmus, who bet 150,000. Tollerene check-raised to 325,000, to which Ausmus responded by three-bet jamming for 610,000. Tollerene went into the tank, burning through a few of his time bank cards. Eventually, Tollerene called.

Ausmus had flopped trips and Tollerene was drawing dead with two pair, tens and eights. The K♣ fell on the river and the pot was pushed to Ausmus.
