Lee Rolls Out the Royal

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Daniel Lee
Daniel Lee

With about 200,000 already in the pot, the board showed 6104J, and Jamey McKay checked from middle position. His neighbor, Daniel Lee, put out a bet of 75,000, which McKay quickly called.

The A landed on the river, and McKay checked once more. Lee moved all in, and after a short pause, McKay made the call, taking the hand to showdown.

McKay tabled QJ for a pair of jacks, but Lee turned over KQ, good for a royal flush. The table reacted in disbelief as Lee dragged the pot with the best hand in poker.

Heimiller Requests a Discount

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Sheldon Gross limped in early position, and Rob Hollink over limped on the button. Dan Heimiller raised from the small blind to 25,000, and Roland Israelashvili three-bet all in for 205,000. Everyone folded to Heimiller, who deliberated.

Heimiller asked for the total again and stated, "If it was a little less, I would call". Roland Israelashvili joked, "What do you want a discount now?".

Heimiller teased, stating, "How old are you?", "I can't call, because you are not young". Israelashvili won the pot uncontested.

On the other hand, at that same table, Rainer Kempe raised in the hijack to 25,000, and Julio Serrao called in the big blind. The flop came out with 6K7, and Kempe bet out 22,000 after Serrao checked. Serrao called.

The turn 9 brought out a check by both players.

On the river Q, Serrao led out for 78,000, and Kempe made the call.

It was a chopped pot with Kempe tabling K5 and Serrao holding K3; both players held top pair, and the kicker was irrelevant.

Rob Hollink raised to 28,000 from middle position. Sheldon Gross called from the cutoff, and the rest of the table folded.

Action checked through on a A42 flop.

The turn was the 6. Hollink bet 34,000, and Gross called.

The river was the Q. Gross bet 50,000, only to be met with a raise to 200,000 from Hollink. After taking some time to think, Hollink folded. Gross then windmilledQQ, which was good for a set of queens and the winning hand.
