Stephen Lee Eliminated in 17th Place ($16,139)

Level 35 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Stephen Lee
Stephen Lee

Stephen Lee moved all in for 1,400,000 from middle position and Yiannis Liperis put him at risk from the small blind.

Stephen Lee: Q4 All in
Yiannis Liperis: JJ

The flop came 697, giving Lee a flush draw, but he didn't seem to need it as the Q hit the turn. Lee was one card away from a double-up, but the J on the river gave Liperis a set.

The table couldn't believe it, but Lee was out in 17th after that brutal river.

Massive Cooler Near Money Bubble of WSOP's Biggest Buy-In So Far

Level 34 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Ben Tollerene

One of the biggest coolers we'll see at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) took place in the biggest buy-in event so far this summer.

Aces versus kings is always a brutal set-up, but a set-over-set involving those two premium holdings is as painful as it gets. But that's exactly what happened near the money bubble on Day 2 of Event #32: $50,000 High Roller.

PokerNews' Calum Grant captured the hand between Ben Tollerene and Joey Weissman, which took place at the end of Level 13 with blinds of 15,000/30,000/30,000 and 34 players remaining with 26 spots paid.

Even Battle Not Too Bloody

Level 34 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Jonathan Schwartz and Yiannis Liperis were basically even in chips going into the final hand of the level, and they delicately tangled knowing so much could be at stake.

Yiannis Liperis raised under the gun to 800,000, Schwartz called in the big blind.

What looked like it could be an action flop AQ10, brought a 550,000 bet from Liperis, and again Schwartz made the call. The turn of 2x drew a check from each.

When the 9 dropped on the river, Schwartz fired first, betting 1,600,000. Liperis thought about it for a minute, then folded.

Ryan Hohner made it 1,000,000 from the cutoff and Taylor Shepard shoved 1,775,000 on the button. When it got back to Hohner, he called.

Taylor Shepard: A8 All in
Ryan Hohner: Q9

Shepard had the best of it and stayed in the lead through the K104 flop. However, the Q turn put Hohner in the lead and left Shepard a card away from elimination. Hohner improved to trips on the Q river, meaning Shepard was out in 19th.
