Saso Finds the Spades

Level 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Chun-Ting Chu jammed for 50,000 from an early position and got a single call from Paul Saso in a late position.

Chun-Ting Chu: AJAll in
Paul Saso: 99

Chu needed to improve to stay alive but stood from the table after seeing the monotone 3210 flop.

He grabbed his bag as the 8 was turned, as Saso hit the flush.

The dealer placed the A river and quickly passed the chips to Saso, eliminating Chu just after the bubble burst.

Baumgartner and Stahl Bubble Bounty

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Jacob Baumgartner
Jacob Baumgartner

On the stone bubble of Event #34: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Super Turbo Bounty, Jacob Baumgartner got his 76,000 stack all in preflop, and was called only by Ben Miller. The players had to wait for showdown, and once the floor gave them the nod the cards were on their backs.

Jacob Baumgartner: KK All in
Ben Miller: 1010

It was an absolutely brutal runout for Baumgarnter, as Miller flopped a boat on 1022 and held all the way to the river as the board ran out 67 sending Baumgartner home just before making the money. Matthew Stahl was also sent out in the same hand, as the 333 remaining players all lock up a min cash of $1,883 excluding bounties.

Miller Steals on the River

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Players were already all in and heads up on a 726 flop. Chad Wray was on the button and jammed the flop, which got a quick call from Ben Miller.

Chad Wray: QQAll in
Ben Miller: J6

The K turn didn't change much, but Miller picked up trip sixes on the 6 river to crack Wray's pocket queens and eliminated him from the tournament.

Saso Fires Three Barrels

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Paul Saso opened for a raise to 12,000 in early position, and Mamad Arani made the call from the big blind.

On the 1074 flop, Arani checked and Saso bet 15,000. Arani called to see the turn.

The 5 came on the turn, and Arani checked again. This time Saso went for a bet of 25,000. Arani called once again.

Then on the 5, Arani checked for a third time. Saso then moved all in, and Arani quickly folded.

This hand left Arani with around 85,000, and he busted shortly after.

Kramer Takes Out Coultas

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Kevin Wan raised from the cutoff to 13,000 only to see Bradley Coultas three-bet all in for 109,000 from the button. Jonathan Kramer then came over the top and four-bet jammed all in, and he had both players covered. Wan folded.

Bradley Coultas: 1010All in
Jonathan Kramer: AK

The flop fell 1037 and gave Coultas a set, but when the 8 came on the turn, Coultas needed the board to pair to stay alive. No such joy when the 9 came on the river and Coultas was sent packing.

Rampage Boats Up

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Gene Grieshaber opened to 12,000 from early position, and no player matched his bet until action folded round to Ethan "Rampage" Yau, who ended up raising to 30,000. Grieshaber put in the smooth call.

The 5JJ flop checked through, then Rampage bet out for just less than one fifth pot, to 13,000 on the J turn, and Grieshaber made the call. When the Q was dealt on the river, Rampage put in a chunk of green 25,000 denomination chips, enough to put Grieshaber all in. He tanked for a bit, before making the call.

Rampage showed KK and Grieshaber went to turn over his hand, mucked it, then turned it over again, after realising he had to due to being all in. His 1010 was no good.

Kelsall Flushed Out

Level 15 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Andrew Kelsall went all in from middle position after action had folded to him, and saw he was in great shape as he was only called by Daniel Jackson on the button.

Andrew Kelsall: AK All in
Daniel Jackson: AQ

Unfortunately, the deck had other ideas for Kelsall as the flop came down Q46 sending Jackson far ahead into the lead. On the 10 turn he was given life, but had already stood up from the table as the 9 river rolled off. He did a quick double take, checking if his rivered flush was good, however Jackson had him outpipped, and took his bounty.

Duffy Gets Lucky to Take Out Dombrowski

Level 15 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

With all the chips having gone in the middle in a pre-flop raising battle, it was Christopher Dombrowski who was at risk against Jeremie Duffy.

Christopher Dombrowski: AKAll in
Jeremie Duffy: AQ

Dombrowski was way out in front pre-flop and after the 879 flop, but when the Q came on the turn, he needed to hit a king to stay alive. No such luck when the 2 came on the river, and he was sent to the rail.

Nowling Busts Out Runcan

Level 14 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Paul Runcan open shoved in middle position for his remaining 31,000 chips, and action folded all the way round to David Nowling, who asked for a count before making the call.

Paul Runcan: A7 All in
David Nowling: QJ

The flop came down 3810 giving Nowling straight outs as well as his pair outs. The brick 2 was welcomed by Runcan, but the river 9 wasn't, as he offered his opponent a "nice hand", and left the table, chucking his bounty chip over to Nowling.
