Hanson Applies Pressure to McNeil

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

After an open and a call, Calen McNeil potted the button to 2,400. In the big blind, Bart Hanson four-bet pot to 8,000, and McNeil called.

On the K54 flop, Hanson continued for 13,000. McNeil would tank for nearly two minutes before he tossed in the call.

On the 5 turn, Hanson jammed for 27,000, and McNeil folded rather quickly this time, as the first all-in of the tournament was not met with a call.

Chen Wins a Multi-Way Pot With Trips

James Chen made it 600 to go from early position with Bart Hanson calling from the next seat, David Prociak calling from the small blind, and Calen McNeil defending his big blind.

After the blinds checked the 63Q flop, Chen bet 1,300. Hanson and Prociak called, but McNeil folded.

The 9 turn checked through to see the Q appear on the river. Everyone checked and Chen took down the pot with trip queens holding AKQ5.

Schermer & Acovino Chop Up the Pot

Four players saw the flop come down 7410. After the big blind checked, Richard Acovino bet 10,000 from under the gun and only Alan Schermer called from the cutoff.

Both players checked the 5 turn to see the 8 appear on the river. Two more checks followed and Acovino turned over A1043 for two pair and a seven-five low. Schermer revealed AQJ2 for the nut low, and they split the pot.

Laplante Gets Three Quarters

Scott Tuttle limped under the gun and Benjamin Miner limped the hijack before Ryan Laplante made it 1,000 to go in the small blind. Scott Eskenazi called from the big blind, Tuttle called, and Miner folded.

On the 875 flop, Laplante continued for 1,500 and only Eskenazi called.

The turn brought the 6. Laplante fired again for 3,500 and Eskenazi stuck around before the 9 river checked through.

Tuttle Wins With a Straight

Ryan Laplante made it 400 to go on the button with Scott Tuttle calling from the small blind, and Benjamin Miner defending his big blind.

After it checked to Laplante on the 104Q flop, he bet 400, which only Tuttle called.

Both players were happy to check down the J turn and 5 river. Tuttle flipped over a straight with K977, which won him the pot.

Graham Picks Up an Early Pot

With only four players at the table, Darryll Fish raised to 700 on the button and Jarred Graham three-bet to 2,300 from the small blind. Fish called.

Graham continued with a bet of 1,500 on the Q85 flop and Fish made the call.

The 6 dropped on the turn and Graham bet again, this time for 2,500. Fish chose to fold, and the pot was sent to Graham.
