An Unfortunate River Sends Frohli to the Rail

On a board of K♣A♣6♥10♣ Andreas Frohli jammed for 7,600 from the small blind. Elie Nakache called from early position and Luis Velador folded from the hijack.

Frohli was in the lead with a flush and needed to fade a board pairing river to win the pot. However, the 10♠ river improved Nakache to a boat, and Frohli was out.

Korody Scoops Sammartino

Dario Sammartino raised to 1,200 from early position before Michael Korody three-bet to 4,200 from the cutoff. When it got back to Sammartino, he four-bet to 12,600 and Korody called.

Both players checked the 2♥4♦3♣ flop to see the 7♥ appear on the turn. Sammartino bet 15,000, and after a few moments, Korody jammed for 54,500. Sammartino went into the tank for over two minutes, shaking his head, staring Korody down. In the end, Sammartino made the call.

Korody had flopped a wheel and looked poised to earn the full double-up, if he could fade a five on the river. The river was the Q♦ prompting Korody to jump out of his chair and shout "Let's go baby!" as he scooped the pot with a wheel.

Justin Liberto opened the hijack to 1,000 and Gary Benson called from the big blind.

On the Q♣6♣5♥ flop, Liberto continued for 1,800 and Benson called.

The 9♦ turn checked through to the 9♠ river which saw Benson lead for 5,500, and Liberto did not take long before he flicked in the call. Benson tabled A♣9♥3♠2♥ for trip nines, as his nut-low draw on the flop turned into trips by the river as he scooped the pot.

From under the gun, Bryce Yockey raised to 1,000 with only Richard Acovino calling from the big blind.

Acovino check-called a bet of 600 fom Yockey on the 5♥3♠4♥ flop.

The A♥ turn checked through to see the 3♦ appear on the river. Acovino checked and then faced a bet of 2,500 from Yockey. After looking back at his cards, Acovino folded and relinquished the pot to Yockey.

Wantman Spikes the Turn to Eliminate Prociak

Action was picked up on the K♦10♥9♦ flop with 16,400 in the middle between Dan Heimiller from the cutoff, David Prociak from the small blind, and Matthew Wantman in the big blind.

The action checked to Heimiller who bet 6,000 before Prociak jammed for 27,600. Wantman then rejammed and Heimiller folded.

Prociak held the nut straight on the flop while Wantman had top set. No waiting was required for Wantman as the 10♣ immediately landed on the turn to give him a full house as Prociak was drawing dead to the 8♥ river.

Catching the action on the turn of a board that read J♠K♠4♥6♥ and with around 12,500 in the pot. Dario Sammartino bet the pot for 12,500 from the small blind with Michael Korody calling from under the gun, and Joe Ritzie calling from the cutoff.

The 7♦ hit the river and Sammartino fired out a bet of 40,000. Korody and Ritzie folded, allowing Sammartino to pull in the pot.

Breck Takes Out Mizrachi

Luo and Smirnov Chop it Up

Three players saw the flop come down 3♥3♠2♥. Anton Smirnov checked from the small blind, and Xixiang Luo bet 700 out of the big blind. Anthony Zinno also called from middle position and they went three-ways to the turn.

After Smirnov checked the 6♠ turn, Luo fired out another bet, this time for 3,500. Zinno folded, but Smirnov stuck around with a call.

Two checks followed the 4♥ river and Smirnov revealed 8♣4♣2♣2♠ for a full house with a eight-six low. Luo showed A♠Q♦J♦4♦ for an inferior high but a better low, meaning they chopped the pot.
