Vinny Lingham raised from middle position to 9,000 and met some resistance from Isaac Haxton, who chose to three-bet to 32,000. Lingham proceeded with a call.
Lingham had seen enough on the 9♦7♥Q♣ flop, though, as he check-folded to Haxton's continuation bet of 30,000.
Christopher Puetz was one player to register in Level 3 and he's off to a good start.
He opened to 10,000 from under the gun and saw Alexandros Theologis and Matthew Belcher call from the blinds.
Puetz continued for 10,000 on the K♦5♠2♦ flop. Theologis put in the check-raise to 40,000, which folded out Belcher but Puetz stuck around.
Theologis made an overbet of 115,000 on the 10♥ turn, and once again Puetz called.
The A♥ river checked through to showdown, with Theologis tabling A♦J♣. Puetz had that pipped with A♣Q♦ and dragged in the pot, with Theologis looking unsure how his opponent made it to the river.
Adrian Mateos raised under the gun to 10,000, and only Vinny Lingham called from middle position.
Both players checked the J♦6♦6♥ flop, but when the 4♣ turn landed, Mateos resumed the betting, doing so for 25,000. Lingham called, and they saw a J♣ river.
Mateos kept up the aggression, betting for 57,000. Lingham didn't take too long before flicking in a call, turning his cards over at the same time to reveal A♣6♣.
A surprised Mateos couldn't beat that and no longer needed to reveal his cards, so he returned them face down to the dealer.
Brandon Steven had just lost a small pot to Alex Kulev, where he defended his big blind, called a small bet on the flop before the action checked through to showdown.
Steven showed ace-high on the K♣J♥7♣2♦6♥ board but was bested by Kulev's 9♥7♦. However, he rebounded strongly on the next deal.
Santhosh Suvarna raised from middle position, with [Removed:548] calling from the button. Steven tagged along from the small blind.
Steven checked on the 10♦4♥3♦ flop, prompting Suvarna to continue for 24,000. [Removed:549] called but Steven then raised to 114,000. Suvarna contemplated his options, and ended up calling. [Removed:558] got out of the way.
Steven sized up to 167,000 on the Q♠ turn, which pushed his opponent out of the pot.
Nacho Barbero raised the hijack, and next to act, Matthias Eibinger three-bet to 32,000. Action folded back to Barbero, who called.
Barbero then check-called a bet of 25,000 on a flop of 8♠10♠10♣, before action checked through on the 7♠ turn.
When the river 8♥ was dealt, Barbero led out for 75,000. Eibinger took a moment before raising to 225,000. This put Barbero into the tank. Unsure of how to proceed, he used a time bank before returning his cards to the dealer face down.
Action was caught on the river, with around 150,000 in the middle on the 7♣5♥4♣7♥5♦.
Isaac Haxton checked in the small blind, and Mathew Frankland fired out 123,000 from the big blind. Alex Foxen took a moment before calling, which prompted Haxton to get out of the way.
Frankland was caught speeding as he tabled 9♦6♦. Foxen had the goods with A♣5♣, giving him sevens full of fives.
