Emilien Pitavy opened to 23,000 second to act. Ramiro Salinas and Alan Keating called from the cutoff and button. The action was on Chris Hunichen in the small blind and he three-bet to 140,000. Leon Sturm then jammed for 350,000 from the big blind. Pitavy took a moment before deciding to call. The rest of the players then got out of the way.
Leon Sturm: Q♥Q♦
Emilien Pitavy: K♠K♣
Pitavy had the cowboys and they managed to stay ahead to lock up the pot after the 8♦6♣2♠2♥K♥ runout.
Manuel Fritz opened to 22,000 in the cutoff, Gregory Jensen then moved all in on the button for 111,000, which Fritz called.
Gregory Jensen: A♦8♥
Manuel Fritz: A♠6♦
The flop came out K♣8♠5♣ to give Jensen a commanding lead, and when the turn 2♠ and river 4♣ were revealed, Jensen was the beneficiary of a full double-up.
Alan Keating took his seat the WSOP $100,000 High Roller as the dinner break ended, and PokerNews tracked an orbit of his hands.
Hand 1
Leon Sturm opened to 20,000 from under the gun and Alan Keating defended his big blind. Keating checked as the flop came down K♠J♦4♠. Sturm bet 25,000 and Keating called. The Q♠ turn checked through to the A♣ river and Keating led out for 60,000. Sturm folded.
"Oh thank god," Keating said as he tabled 8♠8♥ although he admitted he could've been bluffing with the better hand.
Hand 2
Emilien Pitavy raised from under the gun and folded out the table.
Hand 3
Ramiro Salinas raised to 20,000 from the cutoff. Keating folded his button before Sturm and Seth Davies called from the blinds. Salinas continued for 24,000 on the 10♠9♥5♠ flop, which folded out Sturm. Davies raised to 65,000 and Salinas quickly released his hand.
Hand 4
The action folded to Keating in the cutoff and he followed suit in returning his cards to the dealer. Sturm raised to 23,000 from the button. Davies and Pitavy called from the blinds. The action checked through to the river for the board to read J♠6♠2♦5♥3♦. Davies checked and Pitavy bet 30,000, which was enough to take the pot down.
Hand 5
Keating opened to 20,000 from the hijack and Taylor von Kriegenbergh called from the big blind. Von Kriegenbergh check-called for 15,000 on the A♦6♦6♣ flop before the 10♥ turn checked through to the Q♣ river. Von Kriegenbergh fired out 25,000 and Keating quickly folded.
Hand 6
Keating folded under the gun, with Sturm raising to 20,000 from the next seat over. Salinas came along from the big blind but folded to a bet on the J♠2♠2♥ flop.
Hand 7
Sturm raised to 20,000 from under the gun. The play folded to Von Kriegenbergh, who asked Sturm how many blue T-100,000 chips he had. Once confirmed it was three, he three-bet to 75,000. Salinas and Keating folded in the blinds, and Sturm did the same.
"Most obvious bluff of all time," commented Keating.
"You play with me more than these guys," replied Von Kriegenbergh.
As the hand finished, defending champion Chris Hunichen joined the table.
Brandon Steven raised from under the gun to 21,000 and was re-raised by David Peters to 63,000 as next to act. Right behind him, in the hijack, Landon Tice put in another raise to 120,000 Steven folded and Peters called.
The flop came A♥10♦3♦ and Peters check-called the 60,000 chip bet from Tice.
On the turn 4♣, Peters check-called again, this time for 125,000.
The 7♦ river was followed by checks from both players, and Peters showed A♣Q♥ for top pair while Tice mucked.

On the 6♥ turn, Vogelsang sent 50,000 at Wilson, and once again Wilson made the call.
