Tice Keeps Catching Cards

Level 12 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Picking up the action on the turn with the board reading Q934, Alex Kulev checked from the big blind and Landon Tice splashed in a bet of 120,000 in the cutoff. Kulev called and the 8 completed the board.

Kulev checked again and Tice announced all in as the big stack. Kulev didn't miss a beat before calling off his stack of around 450,000. Tice whipped over J10 for the nut straight while Kulev was left with Q10 for just top pair.

The Rich Get Richer

Level 12 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Thomas Boivin raised it up from under the gun and Christopher Puetz three-bet on his left. The action folded back to Boivin who four-bet shoved all in and Puetz called off his stack of around 700,000.

Christopher Puetz: AKAll in
Thomas Boivin: 1010

It turned out to be a coin flip and the pair of tens was still best through the Q64 flop. The 2 on the turn changed nothing and the 3 on the river also bricked, bouncing Puetz from the tournament.

"The rich get richer," Martin Kabrhel chimed in after just joining the table.

Alan Keating
Alan Keating

On just the second hand after the break, Alan Keating and Aram Oganyan got all of their chips in the middle preflop. Both players just sat down with a fresh stack of 600,000 chips and instantly had them all at risk.

Alan Keating: 99All in
Aram Oganyan: AK

The board ran out K73KQ to give Oganyan trip kings and the victory.

"Do I even have one chip left?" Keating asked the dealer to a shake of her head. "Not even a chair," as he stood up and exited the tournament area.

Kenney Hits the Turn, Ivey Hits the River

Level 13 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Phil Ivey and Bryn Kenney were a couple of the late entries and both had short stacks in front of them. Both players got all of their chips in the middle with Kenney being at risk for just over 400,000.

Bryn Kenney: Q10All in
Phil Ivey: A2

The flop of 764 whiffed both players, leaving Ivey in front with ace-high. The 10 on the turn gave Kenney a pair of tens but the A on the river gave Ivey a pair of aces to eliminate Kenney.

Lichtenberger Out-Kicks Tang

Level 13 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Danny Tang raised to 375,000 in early position, leaving just 65,000 chips behind. Andrew Lichtenberger just called on his left and the rest of the table folded. The flop came KJ3 and Tang checked to Lichtenberger who flicked in a bet of 100,000. Tang called off his last 65,000 and the cards were tabled.

Danny Tang: A8All in
Andrew Lichtenberger: A10

The 5 hit the turn and Tang was just pleading for a chop. However, the 4 on the river bricked out and Tang was out-kicked by Lichtenberger's better ace-high.

The Room Gets a Little Quieter

Level 13 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

Action folded to Sean Perry and, knowing that Martin Kabrhel only had a stack of 100,000 in the big blind, he raised to 80,000. The small blind folded, and Kabrhel called.

When the flop came down 528, Kabrhel checked and Perry threw 20,000 in, the same amount as Kabrhel's stack.

Kabrhel let Perry know this was not a legal bet as the big blind, and therefore the minimum bet, was 40,000. Perry corrected his bet size, and then Kabrhel entered the tank.

After a quick look around the table, double-checking his tablemates' stacks, Kabrhel committed his remaining 20,000 chips to the pot.

Martin Kabrhel: Q8 All in
Sean Perry: A7

Kabrhel was ahead, but Perry was positive that he was going to have the best hand by the river.

Sure enough, the 4 turn had Kabrhel drawing dead and when the river came down an inconsequential J, he headed to the exit.

Kristen Foxen
Kristen Foxen

Sean Perry opened in middle position to 100,000 before action folded to Kristen Foxen in the small, who moved all in for 1,250,000. Isaac Haxton, in the big blind, called, and Perry got out of the way.

Kristen Foxen: AJ All in
Isaac Haxton: QQ

Foxen found no help on the 1044 flop, nor the 9 turn, and when the river 4 completed the board, Foxen headed for the exit.
