Phil Ivey's slow start to the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) appears to have ended.

The 11-time bracelet winner not only recorded his first cash of the summer. He's among the big stacks in Event #38: $100,000 High Roller with 15 players remaining. Thomas Boivin and Ben Heath are also at the top of the leaderboard, all battling to win the gold bracelet and the $2,649,158 first-place prize.

Joao Vieira raised to 200,000 in the hijack and Phil Ivey called from the big blind. The flop came Q42 and Ivey check-called a bet of 130,000 from Vieira.

The 4 paired the board on the turn and Ivey led out with a bet of 300,000. Vieira called and the 3 landed on the river. Ivey checked this time and Vieira jammed all in for around 1,200,000. Ivey quickly mucked his cards in disgust and Vieira collected the pot.

Boivin checked for a third time on the 7 river. Haxton reopened the action by betting 440,000, which Boivin called straight away.

Haxton tabled A7 for a rivered two pair, and Boivin mucked his hand.
