Taylor von Kriegenbergh opened to 160,000 in the hijack and Isaac Haxton three-bet to 350,000 on the button. Landon Tice four-bet shoved all in for 2,375,000 which got the attention of von Kriegenbergh and Haxton but they both folded.

On the next hand, von Kriegenbergh raised to 160,000 again and Haxton just flat-called in the cutoff. Aram Oganyan three-bet to 720,000 from the big blind and both von Kriegenbergh and Haxton folded again.

Mathew Frankland used five of the 11 time banks he possesed before folding in the cutoff. The action then went on Ben Heath, who opened to 160,000 from the button. Vinny Lingham folded in the small blind before Chris Hunichen defended his big blind.

Hunichen check-called bets of 90,000 and 465,000 on the flop and turn for the board to read K♠10♠5♠4♥3♦. Heath used a time bank of his own before sizing up to 785,000.

Hunichen had around 2,500,000 behind and went into the tank. Two time banks later, he called.

"Jesus," Hunichen muttered as Heath tabled A♠A♦. The defending champion couldn't beat the rockets and the pot was pushed to Heath.

Seth Davies, from the small blind, went all in for roughly pot, and was beaten into the middle by Boivin.

The river was not one of the two remaining aces in the deck, and Davies was eliminated from the tournament.

Dan Smith opened to 160,000 from the button and called off his stack of approximately 1,000,000 when Phil Ivey put him all in from the big blind.

There was paint in the window, but the K♦6♥2♣ flop kept Ivey ahead, as did the 10♦ turn. However, Smith picked up four more outs, now drawing to Broadway to go along with his overcards.

The river bricked out with the 4♠ to mark the end of Smith's run.

Chris Hunichen limped in from the small blind and Adrian Mateos just called in the big blind. The flop came K♦8♥5♦ and both players checked to the 6♠ on the turn.

Hunichen checked and Mateos tossed in a bet of 210,000. Hunichen called and the 10♣ hit the river. Hunichen checked again and Mateos pushed out a bet of 680,000. Hunichen used one of his time banks and then released his cards.
