Matusow Jams River

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Mike Matusow
Mike Matusow

Mike Matusow played a sizeable pot against Jun Liu to chip up. The hand began when Liu raised to 10,000 from early position and was called by David Gonzalez from the hijack. Mike Matusow decided to raise it to 30,000 from the cutoff. Liu called, and Gonzalez folded.

Liu checked the 667 flop over to Matusow who slid out another 30,000 bet. Liu came along with a call.

The A turn saw Liu take the betting lead with a bet to 65,000. Matusow gave it some thought before he pushed out a call.

Liu slowed down on the 2 river with a check. Matusow asked for it all going all in for approximately 170,000. Liu quickly folded to end the hand.

David Gonzalez busted shortly after the hand to exit the tournament.

The players went to the rainbow 567 flop and they knew they were looking at a chop.

After placing the 10 turn and 10 river, Ray remarked "Come on guys, you gotta tell me when you both have Ace-King, I had queens." He went onto to say, "I could have had 800k now".

Espositio Eliminates Two Players With Pocket Queens

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Action unfolded in a preflop battle involving three players, each having all their chips in the middle, hoping to win big.

Alan Wentz: AK All in
Walter Ripper: AK All in
John Esposito: QQ

The dealer spread a flop of 410J. The two players with Ace-King were now rooting for a Queen, but the dealer provided no assistance on the 7 turn and 4 river. With that, Ripper and Wentz were eliminated from Event #40, while Esposito’s stack surged to the top of the leaderboard.

Four players saw a flop of 934 in a single raised pot. Scott Eskenazi checked, and Robert Zoellner did the same. Peter Charalambous then bet out for 14,000 into 40,000, and Paul Snead made the call. The other two in the hand folded.

The turn Q checked through, as did the river Q, and Charalambous tabled 88 expecting to take in the pot, but Snead showed 97 for a better two pair, and added to his already enormous stack
